      I purchased a gift certificate for a complete vehicle detailing from S&S on 12/16/2021. It was a Christmas gift for my son. It cost $160.00. Multiple times I tried to schedule the vehicle detailing in 2022 but was told they did not have the personnel to do the work. Eventually in July 2022 I had the work done by a different company and requested a refund from S&S. I returned the gift certificate 7/22/22 and was told I would receive a refund for the $160. I called approximately 4 weeks ago and was told they would check on the refund. As of today, October 10, 2022, I still do not have the refund.

      The company stated the customer purchased a gift certificate for detailing services.  When it came for him to use the certificate, the company didnt have detailers to do the work and offered the customer a refund.  "There was a delay in getting the refund to the customer, however the refund was sent. "

       I am rejecting this response because:

      The business claims it sent the refund, but I have not received it.  Is there any documentation to show the refund was cashed or deposited into an account or where it was mailed?  Would it be possible to issue another check and have me pick it up at the Bloomington location?

      I have not received the $160 refund.

      We mailed the check on February 15th.  Please see attached file from our accounting software.

      Given that the refund was still not received we can stop payment on the original check and reissue.

      can you please provide us with an accurate mailing address so that we can cross reference and make sure it arrives.
