Roof replacement- We contacted Sundown exteriors to replace our roof. When providing the original quote the salesman stated that we would need a service that is not typically included due to prior leaking and issues with pests. The salesman then provided a quote that we accepted. They completed the service and the foreman on the job came on the walkthrough and demanded I sign a form agreeing to add an additional 30% increase to the original agreed upon price due to 'additional work needing to be done'. Per the contract any said additional work needed to be agreed to prior to completing the work and new payment methods would need to be established. The way the company is handling the situation is very predatory. They are fraudulently stating that we agreed upon the extra charges prior to the service, and have threatened to put a lean on our home if we do not complete the documents.

Sundown Exteriors was contracted to replace the roof for Mrs. *********. Our salesman quoted the job, the crew showed up to replace the roof.  After the roof was torn off, the crew leader informed ****** of all the wood having to be replaced.  I have attached the document with the additional charges that ****** signed acknowledging the charges. Our additional woodwork charges are explained in the contract that ****** signed.  I personally reached out to her to see if she wanted to add the additional charges to her financing, she said yes.  So, I took the necessary steps to add the additional amount to their financing contract. She was not happy with the interest rate provided by the finance company.  Unfortunately, that is not something we can't control.  ****** and her husband decided to write a check instead of using the finance company.  I allowed her to postdate the check for a few days giving them time to transfer money.  Please let me know if any more information is needed.

Had siding windows done less than 1yr ago, have had company already come back fix twice other spots, he refuses to fix his work and sent threatening text messages also. Siding isn't locked in place and is held up by bubblegum. Windows get foggy, and said that's how they are I researched it and seals are broken in window leaking.

      To whom this may concern,

I will address the complaints and then share the whole scenario.

      1. Picture one is a very simple correction that takes 10 seconds to relock. Vinyl siding expands and contracts and could have been potentially jarred by high winds with the field surrounding the house.

      2. His original messages said the siding was held w sealant. It appears to have sealant on the back.Reason :The home is older so the foundation is sinking drastically on that corner of the home. Therefore, the top piece that is supposed to lock in does not like it should so sealant was initially used. The remainder of the house overall looks great and he definately would not have paid in full if he didn't agree.

History:We been in business since 2006 with a track record of keeping our customers happy and having the best reputation by doing so, this complaint is not our culture so please take things with a grain of salt. The two repairs that were made were very petty cosmetic repairs to make him happy, not poor workmanship. This is a disgruntle customer and prior friend. We never refused to come back to help. He flat out cussed out everyone at my company at one point or another. The customer is very aggressive to the point where we are avoiding conflict. He made several threats and has slandered us calling us "scammers". We have delivered everything in the contract as agreed and had no problem making right and considering filing a lawsuit for the slandering. But the truth is this customer looks for confrontation. I dont expect my help let him mistreat them or myself, but us refusing to come back is flat out FALSE. As for the windows all that needs done is to contact the manufacturer, they are all under warranty. We had a heated discussion, being my friend he called me over the weekend freaking out on me. Finally after dealing with his ongoing negativity and him making threats over very petty things that could easily be fixed we had words and it got ugly. This is where it got personal and was no longer work related since he was a prior friend. He has called my personal phone to the point where he is in tears and cant even control his emotions. Im not sure if the customer has medical conditions, but this is an extreme case of a disgruntle customer. Everything can be fixed, he just wants his money back . The work is fine, I refuse to let hm bully our staff anymore. The stuff that needs corrected is minor and is an easy fix
