    **************************** was contracted for my roof replacement. After the roof inspection they said that my roof has only one layer and something that protects the plywood under the shingles. So they said that they will put another layer on top of the existing one since it will improve the isolation and make the new layer last longer. Eight months ago I decided to put solar panels on my roof in order to save on the electricity bill. I was unpleasantly surprised when the solar company told me that they cannot install the solar panel because my roof has three layers and it has to be changed first. Unlike the roofing company, they provided me with photo evidence which I am attaching with this complaint. I called **************************** and was told that the actual roof replacement was done by a company called AKL Home Improvements. I called them and I was told that they are just a sub-contractor that do the job as requested by the contractor. The person I spoke with was **** *****. So for a while I was sent back and forth. Then, I was told to call a company called ****************. They told me that the person that worked with me (**** *****) is no longer there and that the warranty will not be honored. This does not make any sense if the company is still exisiting as a business entity. After that none of the companies returned my calls anymore. Eventually, some of the phone numbers stopped working. I want a written answer to this complaint and explanation why was I deceived about the state of the roof. The solar company inspector told me that quite possibly my roof is not up to code with three layers and that I should ask for the roofing company to take responsibility and fix the issue.

    Contacted the akl home improvements march 2023 for a leak in my roof. They came out and fixed the issue but the next day the leak resumed. Contacted them again didn't hear back until I suspended my payment they finally cameback and fix the problem. They told me I had a 2 year warranty and wrote it on the invoice. ******* started leaking again yesterday I called the same company and spoke to the same owner who sent out the same guy that did the repair but they tried to charge me 600 dollars and said the warranty cannot be honored because the company closed.
