On October 8th 2024, ********** ************ (or *****) from ADP Constructions *** provided the invoice of $18,000 for addition of bathroom (details included in attachment) to our townhouse and stated in email that they are ready to proceed work as soon as possible. On October 9th 2024, the contractor communicated in text that the project should be done in 2-4 weeks' time. On October 10th 2024, the contractor took the 50% deposit of $9,000 in cash and sent an email confirmation for the receipt of payment from his official email address ********************************* The dispute we have is that no work has started even after 3.5 months of 50% deposit payout and the contractor did not show up even once after collecting deposit. The paperwork for General contractor license application with Village of ********* is purposefully stalled by the contractor after initial submission on October 17th 2024. The contractor's communication with us has been extremely sparse and slow, mostly involving excuses for not completing paperwork. On December 24th, an email detailing the events and demanding for the work to be done by Jan 31st was sent, but there was no response to our email . It has come to our attention through social media that several other victims (at least 3 I personally know) have been affected by this contractor's fraudulent activity of collecting deposit and not doing any work starting summer of 2024. This contractor needs to be stopped and affected victims should be rightfully paid back their deposit money.

    Business Response

At ADP Constructions, we value transparency and professionalism, and we take every client concern seriously. However, this review misrepresents key facts regarding the scope and timeline of the project.

While physical work on-site had not yet begun, we had already invested significant time and effort coordinating with the local Village Hall and insurance providers to secure the necessary permits for the project. Permit processing can take time, especially when third-party insurance approvals are involved a fact we communicated to the client throughout the process.

Unfortunately, due to these delays which were outside of our control the client chose to terminate the project prematurely. It is important to note that we are currently in active litigation regarding this matter, and therefore cannot provide further details at this time.

We also want to clarify that the client received a $2,500 refund through Thumbtack, and our company has provided all supporting documentation regarding our efforts and communications to the appropriate legal channels.

ADP Constructions has been in business for over 15 years, and while our BBB listing may reflect only our most recent registration period, it does not encompass our full operating history. We are proud of our reputation and the trust weve earned from countless clients throughout the *********** area.

We remain committed to integrity, quality, and client satisfaction, and we encourage prospective customers to view our project portfolio and numerous positive testimonials across our platforms.
