    I was a former student of networks barber college. Unfortunately I was incarcerated after completing the program. Upon completion of my probation I reached out to Networks barber college about recieving a copy of the transcript. Nobody has gotten back to me yet. After talking to a school in ***** and the ******************* of regulations they informed me the best way to get to the root of the issue is to have the state get involved. I called Networks barber college Two days in a row requesting information. Sent emails. And even have another school in ***** reach out to see what they can do. Nothing has been communicated as of 7/18/2024

    Complainant sent an email requesting transcripts, which is our procedure, on 7/17/2024. He was responded to on 7/19/2024. He did not give us time to respond prior to submitting his complaint to the BBB. He was provided the necessary forms to complete. He completed the form. His transcript was sent off as he directed.

    Hello, Im *************************. I am a veteran and a barbering student at Networks Barber College. I was enrolled with Networks Barber college through the ****************************** I have been enrolled since April 2023, this past Friday, August 4 2023, the manager/owner of the business called me into his office to have a conversation. He then proceeded to explain that he feels I should be transferred out dis enrolled from his program simply because he feels like he shouldnt have to communicate with the VA about what I have going on. He also sarcastically asked, whats really in it for me? To be going back and forth with them about you. I pleaded that it was worth my education and my license. The owner tells me next that he does not argue with women or children and its best to just not have me hereHe says that he should not have to explain to them why I have been absent from class. I then explained to him that the only reason i was absent from class is because he CLOSED the school for multiple days in the last couple weeks due to the Air conditioning being broken and it being too hot to continue services.the Air conditioning broke twice in the span of two weeks as well. Students were working in unstable heat conditions as well. I am a disabled veteran and a single black mother. Going to school is how I provide for myself and my ****** ***** that has wrongfully been taken from me on unnecessary grounds. I feel helpless and I feel stuck. I understand having decorum and respect, but I have been treated very wrong in this situation and would appreciate any help I can to not only fix the issue but also to make sure these issues do not go unnoticed for much longer. It is a pattern with this business. Thank you for your time.

    **************** was enrolled in our barber stylist program and was receiving veteran benefits. She agreed to do our afternoon schedule, per her enrollment contract, and required to do 30 hours each week on that schedule. However, *************** would come to school at whatever time suited her, would leave when she wanted, and would also bring her child to school due to daycare issues. On Aug 4th, when she arrived to school 2 hours late, the school director spoke to her about her attendance and expectations from not only our school, but the VA's expectations as well. In response, she berated and disrespected the director using profanity and calling him out of his name. She threatened to smear his name and that of the school as well. The director has went above and beyond to help facilitate her and her needs and that was without her evening communicating her needs (never asked to bring her son to school with her, never expressed why her clock in times were inconsistent with her schedule, etc.). Ultimately it was her response to being counseled about her attendance patterns that caused her to be dropped from the school. We wish **************** the best in her education and future endeavors.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Sincerely,

    ************************;

    Networks Barber College has failed to take accountability for their closing of the school for multiple business days due to the Air Conditioning being broken. They have failed to document this but have told the students on multiple occasions simply not to show up for school. Now that this situation has now passed, the director of Networks Barber College has failed to include those absences in my record of attendance and when i asked the director to take the accountability, he replied i do not argue with women and children.

    I *************************, HAVE IN FACT asked the director to bring my son into school before i ever brought him in. Networks barber college has failed to document these instances but they have terminated my attendance with the school because of this. This is discrimination and it is not fair. I will continue to fight for further investigation.

    i have multiple witnesses to attest to the poor management and communication of these individuals.
