    We were contacted by "Ken" from 1776 Publishing right before summer hit this year, in May of 2022. We were roped into purchasing 2 County advertisment spots on a dry erase magnet type thing from this company. He stated he was working with our Emergency Management Dept for our county and several others. He even name dropped our Emergency Management Supervisor's name so it made me not question it as much. However, we are a fairly new business and had been looking at advertising to some degree so this sounded like a good deal. We were supposed to get advertising for two separate counties that we serve, for 2 years. This was a total of $600, would have been $900 but said he was giving me a deal, which does reflect in the invoice that was sent through quickbooks. However he promised for them to be done before our county fair which is in July and delivered. It is now Sept 8th, 2022 and nothing! Of course we have been trying to reach him and this business for months now. We have tried every contact number that is on the website and every contact number that was given through emails. We have also tried to contact this person and business in email. All without any success other than one time he answered the phone. When he finally did answer the phone I was given a sob story about his brother being on meth and having to pick up his family and move from Illinois to Missouri. I gave him 24 hours to give me more information which he agreed to he said that he would call me within 24 hours of speaking to him into him because he didn't have all of the information for me at that time. I'm not sure how he didn't have that information and why he needed 24 hours but I reluctantly agreed to give him 24 more hours. Needless to say I have not heard a word from him since. I have been in contact with our local sheriff's office and even the sheriff's office has reached out out to this company and to ***. The sheriff even pointed out that he was unable to reach said person
