Every time I buy gas from Huck’s, they put a $600 hold/charge fee on my Discover Card. I would like to know why they do that and if this is legal. I thought the maximum amount was $175 that a gas station can hold on your card. I would like them to stop charging the excessive hold on my card. Anywhere else that I buy gas at like Shell and Murphy USA, their hold is $1.00, no matter what state you are in.

Around December 9th 2022 I had bought $20 in gas at Hucks in *********, Indiana ***** the location on ********** Avenue. Later on that evening I got a notification on my phone saying that my account had been overdrawn so I logged into my debit cards app to look at my transactions and saw that hucks had just charged me $20. I got ahold of customer service for my debit card and they could not do anything due to the charge was still pending. When the charge finally posted I got back intouch with my card services and they still would not do anything they told me to get ahold of hucks and speak with them about the unauthorized transaction. So I did and I have sent multiple emails to the corporate office and have not gotten a response. I have called multiple times and have spoken with someone. I was told I was going to get a refund for my $20 and then I brought up that that transaction made my debit card go into the negative (-$7.64). I asked if they was going to reimburse that also and they lady asked for my phone number and said she would findout and would give me a call right back. I never received a call back or any of my money. I have sent more emails inquiring about my funds not being refunded and still have not gotten a response back. So I called the corporate office again this past week and they told me that the district manager of my local Hucks is supposed to get intouch with me and refund me. The district manager still has not attempted to get intouch with me and I have sent a couple emails to corporate office once again and told the what was going on and left contact information for them to get ahold of me and I still have not gotten a response via phone or email.
