    I made a purchase on The Bug Hub website on August 8th, 2023. I had pre-ordered a jumping spider from a website, and I was initially informed that I would receive it during the second week of September.As the first week of September approached, I reached out through the website's contact form to inquire about the status of my order. Unfortunately, I received no response. On September 12th, I sent an email to the provided address, **************************************, but received no reply to that email either. My concerns deepened when, on September 14th, I revisited the website and found that there was no order information associated with my order number and email address. To add to the confusion, I noticed that the website had been temporarily closed down. Hoping to find answers, I revisited the site on September 19th, only to discover that it now states the closure is due to personal problems and advises customers to email for further assistance. I promptly sent another email explaining my situation, yet, to my dismay, I have not received any response to date.

    On July 7 2022, I purchased three camel spiders in the amount of $154.98. I decided to only keep one of the spiders and ************* agreed to take the other two and issue a refund in the amount of $132. I agreed and later that day I went to ******* store and sent them off for next day delivery. Shipping cost $14.95, which I agreed to pay for. They arrived at The Bug Hub the next day with no issues. I was expecting to receive my refund that day via PayPal, but I didn't. I had inquired about the refund again a couple days later, but when I didn't hear anything back, forgot about it for the remainder of July. I called ************* on Aug. 2 to ask about the refund and he claims he had sent it to me the prior week. I sent a screenshot showing that I did not have anything in my PayPal account from him. He then realized that he sent it to a wrong email address. He said he would pay me once he got that money back from whoever it was he sent it to. Around Aug. 9, his mother passes away further delaying his ability to PayPal me the money that was owed to me. I let it rest for a bit because quite frankly, I started to feel very uncomfortable and very much like a pest calling him as much as I was. But realistically, I wasn't being pushy at all. Sept. 19, ************* made the offer of sending me several different species of rare and expensive tarantulas in place of the cash stating that I would really be coming out ahead because these tarantulas were very expensive. I agreed and was honestly quite excited about this option. I was given the impression that I would have these tarantulas in my possession that week. ***** Oct. 6 was told that he was very busy with marathons and his kids activities and he would not be able to get to that until the end of the month. Nov. 5 he told me I'd have to wait until next week. He is no longer answering my phone calls or text messages. I have a Bug Hub gift card with $135.51 that has an error code and cannot be used on the website. Amount owed: $267.51.
