Regarding my complaint regarding Days Inn in Caseyville, IL (complaint #********), I'm not surprised they haven't responded because they obviously don't want to. I have not heard from them and I don't expect to. I will add that the room was slum, but if the counter clerk even cleaned the large dirty mirror above the sink (as I requested, and he said he would do he but did not), I would have bit my lip and not complained, but although he said he would have the dirty mirror cleaned, he did not, and this was disrespectful.
I don't know but I fear that BBB has given this motel a high rating in Caseyville, IL but they don't deserve it. The room I had was slum and there is terrible, untrustworthy customer service there.

pe over it. I saw a hair on the toilet seat & saw a ***** run across the floor. The bedspread had small holes in them. There were two pieces of curtains that didn't match & one piece was 2 inches shorter than the other piece. It overall was ******** immediately I expressed dissatisfaction with the room. I didn't ask for a refund since I didn't know I could get one. I didn't stay in the room & didn't bring my things in but rather I checked out the same day (1/20/25) around 7 pm & went to another motel. When I tried to complain to the manager by phone the next day, the front counter person who answered the phone wouldn't let me to speak with him. I complained to Wyndham's customer care & got no where & they emailed me incorrectly saying I expressed satisfaction with my room, although I did NOT. They lied and refused to refund my money. It's obvious that Days Inn nor Wyndham cares what customers think & will not make things right. I wonder why "Reservations" would reply to this complaint, as they did.Initial Complaint

We stayed for 5 minutes because the hotel was terrible. They agreed to refund our stay but the next day they screamed and cursed us out on the phone by management and hung up on several times. This hotel does not need to be in business. It is absolutely disgusting. There was black mold everywhere and food was leftover in the microwave, the sheets and the comforters had stains and there were mouse droppings everywhere. The manager on duty yelled as I was trying to explain everything to him. He told me he didn't care who I contacted. I told him I was going to contact the BBB and the Health Department and he cursed me out and screamed that he didn't care. My children were with me and the smell of weed was strong as soon as we walked in. There was no way I was staying there and they agreed to refund our stay but then refused.Business Response

THE GUEST STAY IN THE ROOM FOR 45 MIN THEN THEY CHCK OUT AND WE CHECK THEM OUT WITH OUT ASKING QUESTION ,SO WHEN WE WENT TO CHECK THE ROOM THE ROOM SO FULLLY USED AND THE GUEST ALSO DIDNT FLUSH THE TOILET ,BUT WE STILL REFUNDED THE GUEST HER FULL PAYMENT BACK TO HER . SHE THEN COME BACK AND ASK FOR A RECEIPT AND I GAVE HER A RECEIPT AND THEN I EXPLAIN TO HER THE RECEIPT WHICH SHOW WERE I REFUNDED HER THE MONEY AND HOW LONG THAT IT WAS GOING TO TAKE HER TO GET HER MONEY BACK . IT WAS A BUSY WEEKEND THE CARDINALS WAS IN TOWN PLAYING CUBS . We stayed at Days Inn on March 11,23. When we checked in we were to have an adjoining room. That is not what they had, we had 2 separate rooms next to each other. When we got up on Saturday morning I asked to cancel my room for that night due to the room situation. They told me not possible since the manager was not there. They would have him call me. He never did, I called 3 times that day and he was never there. When we got back on the night of 3/12/23, I was told they can refunded money for the room. Gave me a receipt that shows a refund. I have never gotten my money back on my credit card. I have called and manager never there. I sent an email to Cooperate Days Inn, they could not help me at all. I would like my mo ey back for the night we didn't stay there. We would if stayed if I knew we weren't getting g money back. The hotel was gross and dirty also. I don't really know if there is a manager or jot.Business Response

Checked in, checked out less than 45 minutes later after inspecting the rooms. Found stains in multiple locations, chairs, bed sheets, etc. Found dirt, debris under the mattress pad. Unacceptable place to spend the night. Checked back out at the desk. Filed complaint with wyndham days later, asked for money to be refunded, haven't heard anything from them in over 6 weeks. 8-6-2022Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
As far as the pool is concerned I do not have much of an issue with. Only a bit of disappointment. My issue was with the air conditioning. After checking and leaving the bags in the room,we went to St. Louis and did not return till after 1:00 am. That’s when I was turned the air conditioning down to 70 degrees. I woke up around 2:30 and it was fairly uncomfortable for me. My wife checked out a told that she did put a complaint with the front desk. While I was loading the car I met a couple that came out with a fan. They told me the had to go ******* to buy that fan because their air conditioner was no working.

Good afternoon....
Looking over the guest reservation, Guest made a reservation for 2 bed non-smoking, Checking in 7-16-2022 at 7:28pm and checked out 7-17-2022 at 9:37am.
The company has a login where we keep all notes and I do not see any information about this issue.
We apologize for the inconvenience. Did guest report this information to the front desk? All guest are able to look at the room and if not satisfied, may request for a different room or check out and receive their refund. We do not have the pool open due to it being under construction and for Guest safety it is closed.
Unfortunately their would be no refund due to none of this information was reported to front desk because we would've been able to gladly solve this solution.

Good morning....
We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with our response, The owner himself went to room *** to see what was the issue with the A/C unit. The owner found no issue with the A/C. A/C was working perfectly fine after 1 hour of checking it. We had Guest stay in that room and no complaint was about the A/C. Unfortunately there will be no refund. Thank you once again for staying in our hotel.

I am rejecting this response because:
On the night we stayed at the hotel it was not cooling properly. The previous night we had stayed at the ***** * in ******* and there was no issues with the air. At 70 degrees the room was to cold for my wife. Not the case at this hotel. It was uncomfortable for us, and another couple staying there.
I’m not asking, nor do I want a refund from the hotel.I just like them to know that the place was kind of dirty with lots of construction and the staff was not the best I have seen. Maybe we just picked this hotel on a bad day.
