    I had a representative come out to see the work I wanted done which was to clear out the dryer vent. He came on 6/6/24 and quoted a price of $225 so I scheduled the work to be done and as he was leaving I clarified that I pay the worker and the price would be $225, he said yes. So when the worker came on 6/8/24 I learned there was something called a "service charge" of $8 in addition to the $225. I questioned that but the worker had not done the quote. He did the work and I paid $234 by check but I did call the next week to discuss. The person I spoke with rather danced around the issue but would call it to the attention of management. This seems to me almost a bait and switch situation so I want others to know not to trust Stanley Steemer's quotes.
