      March-******* around 3:30 pm I called this mighty towing company to winch my Polaris (ATV) on the road because it went off the road, owner of the company sent me a truck, it was just a winch he didn't even tow it to any where. The deal was to just to winch it on the road and load back to my trailer. This owner charges me $570.00 for the job supposedly he have to charge me $180.00 but he ended up charging me $570.00 then when I asked about the charge he did it he hung up on me. Even on BBB he is a scammer how could BBB still let this scammer runs his business.

      On December 31st 2024, I called Mighty Towing to get my car towed due to my axle breaking. When I spoke with the company, they told me the price would be $195 and after the 4 dollars a mile to destination. The Destination was 4 miles after pick up which was $16 added after the $195. When we got to the destination the whole amount changed. He started bringing up charges that was not discussed before pick up. *** was very rude when confronting him about the price he told us previously. The company stop answering for us when we called to discuss the new charge which was $300 dollars of paid by card and $280 if paid in cash. I never experience this kind of situation in my life with a tow. He did not want to drop the car off where the shop was at. The shop called and complained that he drop it off in front of another business that was not associated with the repair company. I went to read the reviews about the company and I was not the first to experience this issue. This company need to be investigated immediately. The service was inappropriate.

      On 12/17/2024 one of our company box trucks broke down in *********. We called Mightys Towing and spoke to *********** at 10:37am. We told them the year, make, and model of the vehicle. We provided them with the address where the vehicle was broken down at and the address where we needed the vehicle transported to. We needed a tow 83 miles, which is approximately 1.5 hours according to GPS. They quoted us 3 hours to do the job at $195 per hour, which equals $585.We agreed on the price and they said they would get someone out to our location to pick up our broken down vehicle.Over 2 hours later Mightys finally showed up. Fine, we understand and did not complain at this time.Once they arrived at our destination with our vehicle, they presented a bill for $918.$918 is $333 more than the price we agreed upon. When I called and spoke with **** about the issue, he told me not to complain and they should have charged me more. I explained we have the recorded call where they tell us it will be $585 but he got upset and started shouting when I brought this up. Terrible person and horrible at business! We had no choice but to pay the inflated bill as they held our vehicle hostage; so we paid it so we could retrieve our vehicle back from them.We did notice several other negative reviews online for this company stating they quote one price then charge you hundreds of dollars more once the job is done, so I know I am not alone and this is apparently a normal business practice.Before leaving any negative reviews myself or contacting the Attorney General I wanted to write this letter. I hope this complaint reaches the owner so he can review the issue and provide us with a refund so we can be done and move on.Please advise.
