Attempted transaction occured evening of 11/22 Business is posting fraudulent ads on ******** marketplace to lure in customers. Business had an ad up for tires. I contacted the business who confimred they had the tire set. When i got to the store, they claimed they had sold the tires. The store then claimed they sold the tires in the time I traveled to the store, store clerk then tried to sell me other tires I was not there for. ******** marketplace reviews show this is a common practice for this store (***********************************************************). Attached is correspondence between myself and the business. A legitimate business should not be posting fraudulent stock on social media in an effort to lure in customers.

We apologize for the inconvenience to the consumer, but per the pictures of the text exchange provided, there was notice that the set he was interested in had already been sold.  This does happen often as our tires sell out quickly due to the condition, price, and availability to other customers.  Unfortunately, we are not able to hold tires with a deposit due to our merchant service policy of not being able to take credit cards over the phone, we only are able to run credit cards with the card present.

We do encourage customers to call or come in if this happens because we do have comparable sets available.  That information should have been communicated to the customer before he came into the store.  I have informed the staff to communicate to the customers when the set has sold via text or call (however the original commination occurred) and not to solely rely on the message that is sent to the customer regarding the product being sold that the customer receives from ******** Marketplace as soon as the product is sold.  They will definitely pay closer attention to the consumer messages.

If the customer who had this experience would like to communicate with us further, we would be glad to offer a discount on a comparable set of tires.  They can contact us at *************************** and we will do everything we can to correct this error.

Is incident occurred 4/20/2024.I ********************* purchased 4 used tires from this company.First they misquoted the price of the tires, one person telling me $300 for the tires and another person told me $420.My total came up to $509.85. Secondly they sold me tires that was dry rotted on the side walls. I tried asking for a refund but I got the run around. Third, they damaged my sensors in my tire they sent me over to Discount Tires only so they can tell me that that tire company never put the sensor back in my tire, so they lied about that as well , NO ONE in the tire shop could speak proper English. I just want my money returned to me and I want them to pay for my sensor that they damaged

While I cannot speak to the miscommunication on the pricing of the tires, the customer inspected the tires and agreed to purchase the tires installed.  Upon installation, the staff did tell the client that the tire sensors on his vehicle were inoperable and needed to be replaced, that is why we asked him to visit another retailer to replace his sensors.  We do not carry sensors nor is our staff able to replace them.

The client paid us with a debit card, and he was not able to return for the store to refund his card directly (our processor required us to scan his card for the refund due to the card being a debit card) therefore he was refunded through Zelle on 04/22/24.  The store manager explained to the customer that we would refund the amount paid for the tires, the valve stem we replaced, and the recycling fee, totaling $370.00.  We could not refund the installation charge and credit card fee.  The customer was fully informed and agreed to the refund of $370.00 that he received and accepted after speaking to the manager on 04/22/24.

Once the refund was issued on 04/22/24, we did not receive any further communications from the customer.  We received the first mailed communication from BBB on 05/10/2024.

Please follow up with any questions, ***************************.  I appreciate your consideration.
