Early last year, a "*******" called the office claiming to be with QuickBooks, asking for a payment for a renewal for the license. He told our office manager that we needed to renew the license, which he claimed was separate from our QB file itself. He provided an 833 area code number, which when called has an automated voice that says: "Thank you for calling support for accounting software" The charges that hit the provided card were: $599.99 on 3/9/2022, $699.99 on 7/29/2022, and most recently $649.99 on 2/6/2023. The description on the charges says 'QBSUPPORT *********** IL', which is what made us aware of Agile Tech Solutions, which we had never heard of before. We looked up the Agile Tech website, it initially looked legit but still has a number of randomly capitalized words and other grammatical errors. It claims to help people with their QB file, but ******* presented himself as with Inuit itself, not an affiliated company. When we looked on Intuit's customer account portal, it was no surprise that the above-mentioned payments were not listed. We only had a $507.80 renewal charge and $35.55 sales tax fee for last year. We are working with our bank to dispute these charges, but I want to make future potential targets aware of this scam and to hopefully lower this fraudulent company's A+ rating. I'm unsure how that is even possible, considering what this company is capable of.

Regarding Agile Tech Solutions claiming to be QuickBooks: On 4-23-21...$2,147.58 was withdrawn out of our checking account for a 3 year subscription; 8-18-21...$1,199.99 for yearly subscription; 10-27-21...$749.99 for Payroll Updates; 4-12-22...$2,499.99...subscription; 4-21-22...$499.99 for support; 8-22-22...$1,199.99 for yearly ********************** Updates. We have used Quick Books for about ************************************** ****. Within the last year, I started receiving calls from a guy named ***** saying he was with Quick Books and he was my account manager and then a few months later, I received a call saying my new account manager was *****. When I asked ***** why I was getting new account managers he would say, "Well, they are your account manager and I'm over them. As I look back, there were a lot of Red Flags that didn't make sense! The most recent charge came thru on our checking account 9-22-22 in the amount of $795.99 for QB Support which thankfully, I caught, and it was returned as an unauthorized transaction. When I talked with our Bank, they gave me the name and phone number that the *** was coming from. I called and talked with them and they asked me if I was familiar with Agile Tech Solutions and I told them I had never heard of this company. The person I talked to gave me the dates and amounts of the transactions that Agile had taken out of our account. I then contacted Intuit Quick Books and I was told that our billing from them was only once a year in the amount of $549.99. This amount includes our annual subscription and annual support. While I was on the phone with Intuit, they actually checked the BBB website and found that Agile Tech Solutions was possibly a scam company and they suggested that I contact my bank to put a Block on transactions from Agile Tech Solutions and possibly try to file a claim against them. At this point, I am asking for advice as to how to handle this situation.
