I am rejecting this response because: ***** did not discuss any issues with my problem that needed fixing before he fixed them. When I called ***** on Monday he told me the car was ready and I can pick it up, but he recommended that I finish the repairs on the $5000 estimate that he quoted to me over the phone. I was fine paying for the diagnostic test, and the wire problem even though ***** should have called me first and said I know you thought it was the alternator, but after inspection it we found it was the wire it will cost you x amount would you like to fix it. I do not agree with the oil change, because I did not need a oil change, and I did not okay that work to be done. ***** also told me I needed a new battery, but I had it checked, and I was told my battery is fine from another place, and I haven't had any problems from the battery since I picked my car up from ***** shop.

I've been driving on the battery and everything has been fine. ***** charged me almost $600 to fix the wire, checking the *** and the oil change (that I didn't need) this man is out here taking people hard earned money, and I let him know that I will never ever do business with him again. Customer came in and asked for a complete inspection as we explained we need to check the vehicle ourselves since we've had bad experiences changing parts with out diagnostic and problem was not corrected. We found the main positive cable was making ground to the engine and oil level was really low. We asked her if she wanted to change or top it off. She said to do the oil change with full synthetic and finish the inspection. After completing it, We called with the complete estimate with the recommendations from the technician but she declined and advise the vehicle really needed those repairs. She picked it up. Customer states she didn't get a call for the estimate but I called her when I had the results. I know she send it thinking the issue was the alternator but that is not what our result was. Also vehicle was low on oil and we cannot let it run like that as it can damage the engine and had to do the oil change to make sure it had the correct oil and amount to keep checking it, full synthetic. For the short we had to follow the cables and pinpoint it, this was located in the battery cable to starter. The time charged was to replace the battery to check on the problem,( we used our own), test original battery load and clean terminals for good contact and repair the short which is an hour same as inspection. We do not want to recommend parts customer cars don't need and in her case the alternator was not the problem. Her battery was not good but she mentioned she had warranty, we just recharge it to help it get to the place where she had the warranty. We always try to help our customers and make sure they are safe driving their vehicle. I am glad her car is working good after the repairs.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because ***** is not telling the truth. I called the shop on 9/15/23 and spoke with *****. I stated "I think I need an alternator because I had a diagnostic test done somewhere else and they said the battery is good, which it should be cause I just bought the battery, and can you also ask him to check the *** because I had it recharged but it went back hot in a few days". ***** said okay just bring the car, and I said okay I'm calling the tow truck. The first call on 9/15/23 was confirming I can send the car the second call was confirming the car made it. On 9/18/23 I called to see what the findings was and that's when ***** quoted me a $5000 bill, and I said hold on I only asked ***** to have you check the alternator and the *** ***** then stated oh you don't want everything fixed well you had no oil in the car we had to do oil change. I asked why you didn't call to inform me first to see if that's what I wanted to do. At this point ***** stated he did the work already. As you can see ***** did not phone me one time while my car was in his possession as he stated he did.

My husband took my truck to get it fix from the transmission. He clearly kept telling them that the transmission was the issue. Right away they wanted more money by stating that no the transmission lines had to be change first. It was a cost of $1500.00 once the repair happen they of course said no that was not the problem and now we needed a new or use transmission. Plus the labor they did it would off come out to ******* estimate. My husband told them the main issue since the start but of course they want for their labor to be more than what it should be. To make matters worse when he went to pick up truck he ask to see the parts that were damaged and they refuse to show him anything because they were garbage . So what proof do we get that work was actually done when my truck is still the same if not even worse.Business Response

Hello we received this vehicle with an engine light on and different codes, vehicle was not accelerating. We always have to check the vehicles even when the customer has a diagnostic from a different place. When some vehicles come in, we are able to diagnose problems right away but we let our customer know that there are times when we need to change some parts and then check if that is all the problem with the vehicle. There is not a machine out there that can be plug to a vehicle and will tell you all the problems and where they are and what to change. Sometimes we have to go step by step. After checking it, we found the lines leaking and the transmission without oil. Customer was called and came in to show him the problem. We needed to fix the leak first in order to add trans oil to the transmission and check how it performed. He agreed to replace the lines for a price of $1300. (attached is the invoice) We checked the transmission and found it was not working correctly. We usually offer options to our customers for used or remanufactured parts so they have options. Customer declined transmission. We take pride in our work and do not do jobs that will not fix the problem. Only replacing the transmission would have cause the problem to continue and transmission repairs are not cheap.Initial Complaint

************************* good evening that not true I started in January calling him telling him my all wheel drive and axle light was on he said he was very busy so he told me to come in a couple weeks when I did he said he was still very busy so I brought it back in September he told me okay I know you call me about that but if it anything else it will not be warranted you have to pay for if it anything then that I said okay thats fine he kept it for about almost 2 months I kept calling him he kept saying its code he have to clear out I said that not saying you have to get a part so he finally call me and said it ready when I got in my car it was a traction light on I came back in and said my traction light on he said that was on when you brought it here I said no it wasnt one guy cam out the went to my car and then he told him quietly that it wasnt on my car when I brought it here so the drove it back in and look at it so it was 45 minutes he came and told me he was going to have to keep it and see what going on with it so he said everything was fix except the traction light he said it was going to go out any way so he said that was going to be seven hundred and 40 dollars I told him I got extended warranty he said ok we call them so I call back a week later he said so you complain to the bbb on me I said yes you havent been fair to me and you been had my car to long so I came to get it because he never call the extent warranty people for the traction light so he said the next time I fix on your car you going to have to sign I said that find because everything was by word of mouth with him because I would bring all my car to him he started to act like he was money hungry and I didnt understand it when I would call he would act like he didnt know who I was my car was there to long for him to not know who I was then I pick up my car because he said everything was finished except traction like so he said she dont have to pay nothing it was still warranty so when I got have way on the all wheel came back on and rear axle I was mad then so I came back I looked in the trunk it was this black rubber I said wear this come from to my self and I started looking around and saw it came from the front of my car I went in there I said so yall broke this off my car he sai where the other piece I said come look its still on my car he said thats nothing order that I said so yall wasnt going to tell me yall broke this off my car he said we order you another one so I said how did that get broke off my car he just looked at me I just want them to pay some one else to fix my diffetial on my car and the piece off the front of my car and they scraped my paint Pepboys said I need a differential on my car I got a expectation on itk there and she the flap guard and I started looking around my car to see where this come from and I Bend down to the front of my car and it belongs up there it broke I go back in there and say where my car been that the flap guard it broken off my car he come out and say it a piece go to this I say I know the the other piece hanging on to my car he look under and say thats nothing I order you another one I said wow yall just been jacking my car up he never told me that was broke and he never fix my car all that time it was in there he just lied to me he even act like I was calling him and I told him every time you came to the phone you act like you didnt know who I was a long as my car been there you dont know me I just wanted my car fix he done nothing it came back worse than what it was Cadillac XTS 2013 premium he should be ashamed of him selfBusiness Response

***************** was here on September 2021 to get repairs done for her vehicle. She approved a used part after we gave her the new and used options. As stated in the invoice there was a 6 months or **** miles warranty on the repair stated clearly on the invoice. She is coming back a year later and we explained that there is no more warranty on the job as it is a year later but she keeps insisting. We checked the vehicle and let her know her light is on due to a different issue, not the same problem as last year. I am not sure where the confusion is but we always try to explain clearly to our customer the situation with their vehicles and in her case, her repairs now are not the same as what we did last year. Also this time her vehicle is showing a lot of different trouble codes that were not there when she came in the first time. We cannot honor an expired warranty. She had done a complain through ************************** that was closed due to the documentation presented. We cannot refund on a part that is working without a problem in the vehicle.
