I have been a customer at ******************** for nearly a year. Several months prior to the submission of this complaint, I had for the first time complained about the quality of service provided by one of the bartenders. My complaint regarded being meant to wait for over twenty minutes to order a beer while the bartender engaged in a personal conversation. Upon closing my tab, I left a large gratuity and let the bartender know that I understood the difficulties of the service industry, but that I felt insulted as a customer for being asked to wait so long merely so that a personal conversation could take place between the staff member and her friends. The bar tender took this as a personal insult, proceeding to accuse me of not taking into account the personal things she was going through and generally accusing me of being wrong for complaining. Feeling that my concern had fallen of deaf ears, I decided to not leave the gratuity and left.I continued to regularly go to ****** without incident although the bartender in question actively avoided taking my order when possible. Sensing the bad blood, shortly after the new year, I attempted to ask the bartender and her manager if we could put this incident behind us and move forward. The bartender was not receptive and the manager refused to address it. I continued to visit the bar for the next month. On or around Thursday, February 9th, 2023 at 7:30PM I was denied entry. I was told at the door that I made the bartender feel uncomfortable. I believe this is unjustified, and that whatever discomfort is felt, is a result of one staff member taking a legitimate customer complaint personally, and management's failure to address it. I was fine agreeing to disagree. However, the assumptions and implications about my character as a result seem downright discriminatory.Due to this, I am seeking additional legal recourse in the matter. I would still like to resolve the issue in good faith, which is why I am filing this report.
