      This company scammed my 92 year old mother who is suffering from dementia. They got her to agree to an insurance policy that she does not need or want by making her think her insurance policy lapsed. Total scammers. Shame on you people. Absolutely disgusting

      I purchased an extended full powertrain warranty. I have paid around $4000. I DROVE my 2015 Silverado to Chevrolet dealership(******************* *******) because check engine light was on. They determined it was internal engine problems. Mepco refused to cover repairs stating its manufacture responsibility and dealership is saying it should be covered through warranty. I have all service records through dealership including oil changes. It was nothing that was caused on my behalf. I had to pay $950 for them tearing it apart to find problem only to be rejected. Now I have to have my truck towed from shop with my engine parts in boxes. Im living check to check to try to get it fixed and borrowing money to pay for everything. This is now going on a few months of me paying ***** Fargo my monthly payments, paying Mepco for something they are refusing to cover repairs on, and not being able to work without my truck. Then on top of it all, I have been trying to get it from dealership(per dealership demand) and they tell me today the mechanic that worked on my truck is no longer employed there. Service receptionist said he will get all my parts together and put in back bed of my truck. I was charged almost $1000 just to have my truck towed away. I shouldve at least been able to get my truck back in the same condition I brought it there in, not in pieces. Im also attaching the conversation between Mepco and *******************. They are just placing blame on each other while leaving the customer(me) to take the loss.

      My mother is 92, lives in a retirement community and has extreme short term memory loss. Prior to us changing her number to one that is monitered for any calls not on a list, she was apparently contacted by someone selling Mepco Carshield. She pays State Farm for auto insurance, so was scared into agreeing to this for fear of having a car repair bill she can't afford. She never signed anything. She gave out her **** information and the charge has been coming out, ****** each month for at least 4.The company website says she must send letters to the seller, all caps, to cancel. Because she will NEVER remember who this person said they were representing besides Mepco, we are stuck unless we cancel her **** card. My mom doesn't even have a car anymore! She also does not remember this even happening. This disgusting, unethical, and aggressive sales strategy has been an issue since her husband dies. He was pretty savvy and could shut them down.****** a month may not seem like much to some people but since she was born in ****, financial security has always been a source of anxiety for her. If you tell her she could be liable for thousands of dollars to repair her car, a little each month sounds reasonable.I do not understand why companies like this and ******** supplement companies are alowed to make sales without any face to face contact or actual signature.

      I am rejecting this response because: MEPCO knows that many of the people who say yes to this, have no idea they are speaking with anyone NOT affiliated with MEPCO at the time of the agreement. Then, when the person wants to cancel because MEPCO knows they are selling a fake product, they try to get out of it by telling us to contact THE SELLER. It is clear from the response this company believes they can continue to steal old peoples money because of this language in their agreement. 
      We want her policy cancelled immediately and a refund of the ****** which has been charged to her credit card for the past several months. THEY can get the money from THE SELLER. If they even know who it was.
