***Consumer theft*** Not folling the factual LAWS of ****************. See WA state law:"Chapter ****** ***"Where it clearly states "a gift card in **************** does not expire"On top of that on the back of my gift card I still have it CLEARLY states " This gift card does not expire". The managers and now at the district level are giving me every excuse ( 5 of them so far ) why my gift card is "old, or not in thier system". Is that the consumers fault that you switched systems? No more excuses or runaround. Vince is NOT above the law. Explanation of complaint:I recently found 2 unused Vince gift cards while cleaning out a drawer in my home. I remember receiving these for a couple birthdays years ago, and forgot about them. The terms on the back of the cards say they can only be used in-store and that they do not expire and have no service fees. I went into the local Vince store to look around and confirm the balances. The manager indicated that these were very old gift cards and may be expired. One card showed up in the system but the other did not. The manager said that was indicative of the card being older than 5 years, and nothing can be done because it's expired. I understand ******** law states gift cards cannot expire. On top of that, the terms on the back of the card state "this gift card does not expire". That didn't matter to them, so I left the store and contacted the district manager. The district manager told me this card was part of an older system that has since been replaced, and additional time was required. I received a call the following day where I was told the card expired in 2020. I argued that statement was at odds with state law and the terms on the card itself. They eventually provided me with a new gift card to use, with the balance from the old one. My issues were resolved, but it was a long and difficult process to get to this point. I expect others may just give up, not knowing Vince employees are not adhering to the law.
