    Date: December 24,2023 Amount $250 Catering included: full pan of carne de puerco , half pan of beans, half pan of Mexican rice, half pan of green spaghetti. Problem: poor quality of food. The food was so soggy, too blend, tasteless and old. The entire food was thrown away because people HATED it. It was embarrassing to hear guests complain about the poor quality of the food and how they felt sick after eating it. Eventually, many of my guests ended up throwing up. The food tasted old. The green spaghetti were very soggy, all you were able to taste was the tomatillo in it. As for the beans a can of GOYA fried beans taste better and fresher than what I was served. Unfortunately, for as much money we paid you would think **************** would be half way decent and not make you sick. This was so disappointing, it was a total waste of food, time and money.

    It's important to note that we did not receive a complaint from this client on the day of the service. Our responsibility typically includes transportation, delivery, and serving when clients opt for our complete service. However, in this case, the service was limited to the client picking up the food from our premises and handling transportation and serving themselves. We are unaware of how the food was transported or served.

    If the client had reached out to us on the day of the event to express any concerns about the food quality, we would have immediately addressed the issue. However, we only received a text message the day after the event, along with a picture of a partially empty tray of meat, suggesting a possible mistake with the dish. The client did not mention any issues with the food quality or any problems with their guests.

    We made several attempts to contact the client to discuss the situation and find a suitable solution, but unfortunately, we did not receive any response. We tried calling and messaging, but there was no answer.

    Despite not feeling entirely responsible for this situation, we are committed to customer satisfaction. As a gesture of goodwill, we would like to offer a free replacement meal package for 15 people. The meal will include the client's choice of meat, along with rice and beans. We want to reiterate our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused and assure you that we are dedicated to providing excellent customer service and delicious food.

    I am rejecting this response because: the cater was notified about the issue about food being bad and not only bc they didnt give us the correct order. On top of that was Not informed that cater had delivery services. The best action for me to be satisfied with this action is to refund my money entirely not only bc it made us sick, but I feel UNSAFE to consume anything from this cater. On the safe note no one was hired to pick up the food, it was my own son who picked up the food. In which the food was served between 70min time span that was picked up. Keep in mind that This ruined our Christmas Eve dinner, and that our 15 plus guest also got sick from their stomach. On top of that I want the restaurant to stop blocking my reviews on their website. I want to be allow for my review to be publicly available for people to see..If we can not agree to a resolution then my attorney will have to get involved. attached is my attorney business card and proof that my husband and I have tried calling the cater to resolve this issue promptly..

    At El Siete Catering, we deeply value our customers and their satisfaction. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and dissatisfaction caused and appreciate the feedback provided by this client.

    As previously mentioned, our complete service includes transportation, delivery, and serving. Our marketing materials and social media platforms clearly promote these services (attached is a screenshot for reference). However, in this particular case, the client opted for the pick-up option to save on delivery and serving fees. We are not aware of how the food was transported or the duration between pick-up and serving.

    We have standardized communication regarding food handling for all our customers. Freshly cooked food should be consumed within two hours if kept at the same temperature, or within one hour if there is a temperature change. All food should be discarded after service or after two hours, whichever comes first.

    Although we do not feel directly responsible for this inconvenience, we have carefully reviewed the customer's request and are committed to ensuring their satisfaction. As a gesture of goodwill, we will honor their request and provide a full refund for their order via Zelle. 

    We want to emphasize that at El Siete, we highly value our customers' feedback. We have an automatic response system in place to manage client messages and we do not block or prevent anyone from writing reviews. On the contrary, we welcome ongoing feedback as it helps us improve our services.
