I decided to switch phone carriers from Verizon to ********* ******** was offering a promotion where when switching to them they would pay off your Verizon phone. Once I received this debit card from ******* I tried many many times to get a hold of Verizon to pay them the money I owed for the phone. The owed $595 and that was the exact amount of what TMobile. I called and called Verizon with no success because I was no longer a customer. I didn't have my account number so I was using my social security number and Verizon kept saying it didn't match their records. I had Verizon as my phone carrier for over 4 years. So finally I decided I would go into the Verizon store and try to pay that way. Before I had a chance to do that I had gotten a text message from my bank (message is attached below) stating there was a fraud alert. Verizon tried taking $703 out of my account without my permission. I never had auto pay. The bank told me to destroy my card and come in to get a new card issued. I now have to change my card information and that mess that goes along with someone trying to fraudulently take your card info and take your money. I don't feel that I should have to pay them anything now after what they did. I am also curious on how many people they attempt to do this to. Verizon is a huge company and I can not believe that they would act so dishonestly and blatantly disregard the law and the proper way to get money for a bill.

I am so mad Verizon is trying to get me to pay for a phone that I got free when I signed up. I wound up canceling because the took away service with the sports channel which voided my contract the only way I could watch sports was to change cable and mobile package. I try to get them to put it back they reused and wanted to give us an 8 dollar a month credit. Or I could go get rabbit ears antennae which I was told would not work. Now they are trying to get me tay almost 500 dollars for cancelling. I dont have that money and I would have never been forced to change if they didnt take our channel away. I am furious I am on a fixed income and begged and called. This is retribution for leaving which I was forced to do because they broke their promise. When cancelled they did not inform me of any of this.
