    Business Response

    Date: 12/05/2022

I had this customer coming to my shop with an old, ************* asking me to make a new custom
window, a copy of the original one. I asked her who would install the window. She claimed that she had
a contractor who would install the new window in the jamb. I told her the contractor must route the
profile of the jamb, so that the window and jamb would puzzle together. She said that no problem, the
    contractor will do it.
I made a copy of the window the same size as the original. On the day of pick up I placed the new
window on the top of the old one and it was the same size.
A couple of days later, the customer called me and told me that the contractor could not install the
window because it was too big. I reminded her again that the contractor must route the profile of the
jamb to the window, so that the jamb and window would puzzle together. She said okay, then she called
me again and told me that the contractor does not want to install unless she pays more money.
The customer asked me if I could install it for her. I told her that we do not do installation. She asked me
if I knew someone who installed windows. I told her I can ask someone and connect him with the
customer, but she would have to pay for installation.
Unfortunately, I did not find anyone available to help her with the installation.
Now, she is blaming me because she did not want to pay her contractor to route the profile and install
    the window.
I am asking that this complaint would be disregarded, there is no basis for asking for a refund.
I asked the customer to bring the window back so that I could show her that the new window is the
same size as the old original one, but she refused.
    Sincerely, ***************
