    As a busy executive, who was single after 30 years of marriage, starting dating again was not the easiest. After a very short time on a dating app, I vetted a few matchmaking firms including talking to references that were women, my age group and in executive positions. After doing my homework, I ultimately selected Selective Search. It was great to partner with a matchmaking professional as I navigated single life in my late 50s. In the initial discussions, they encouraged me to be open to my must have criteria, especially physical type. I was not a believer in the slow burn concept, but I was proven wrong twice when I entered exclusive relationships (at different times of course) with men that were not my physical type at first glance. The burn happened after I got to know and fall in love with a man and I never thought of my original physical type again! So glad I listened. While the relationship ended, they did introduce me to a wonderful Christian man.
