    I hired Guaranteed Gutters on August 26, 2022 to clean my gutter and downspout pipe on the entrance side of my house. I talked to the workers, explained the situation, and asked them to take apart the last section of the downspout so that the debris can be cleared. Despite this, they told me afterwards that they just use water to flush the debris into the drain.On September 11, 2022, my basement was flooded. When I rushed out of the house, I saw the water was gushing out of the drain instead of going in. There is a pool of water in front of my house. The pool of water caused leaking in my basement.This caused a lot of damage and mental anguish. I slept 3 hours in 2 days to get the wet carpet out of my basement before the mold could set in. I spent thousands of doors to repair the damages to the drywall, baseboard, and flooring. I paid close to $800 just to unclog 1 downspout drain before another rainstorm hits. None of my neighbor's basements were flooded that day. Our houses were built at the same time by the same builder with similar architecture and water drainage system. I lived in my house for 15 years and there were a lot of storms and my basement is always dry. This is the first time. I had a plumber over to my house a few days after the flooding. The plumbers told me that there was a lot of debris inside the drain that's clogged. The opening of the gutter to the downspout is small and larger debris can't easily fall in unless someone flushes it. I was unfortunate to experience this and I don't wish this to occur again. Your workers should have done the simple thing of taking apart the last section of the downspout before flushing it.It was a minute of extra work without causing long lasting damages.

    We have already taken legal matters in regards to this Complaint and it has been settled.

    Please read the attached *** for more details. The *** notes that (a) the underground draining system is not covered in our ******************** Plumbing indicated that the problem was caused by a break in ****************** line. (c) we agreed to refund ************ in exchange of resolving the matter fully and release any and all alleged claims.

    ***************** has agreed to the terms in the letter, his signature is at the bottom of the letter.

    We hope this is complaint can be removed from our account now.
