I was tested by Hearing World at *************** and loaned hearing aids on May 25, 2023 for a 90 day trial period. I returned the hearing aids within 4 days. I thought nothing more about it until my explanation of Benefits arrived indicating that my insurance (Aetna Advantage) had been charged AND PAID FOR THE HEARING AIDS WHICH WERE RETURNED. I contacted both Hearing World and Aetna. ***** was shocked by the behavior and assured me that the funds would be restored and that I would be able to secure my benefit this benefit year. Aetna contacted Hearing World which claimed it was a "mistake" and the funds would be returned. Hearing World never denied that the Hearing Aids had been returned or this was not clearly, a "trial period". Since that time, Hearing World told me and Aetna, "the person who takes care of this has laryngitis", "is out to lunch", " is out of the office", "can take care of tomorrow"...". As of October 2, 2023, the funds have not been restored and Hearing World has offered no explanation..

I am rejecting this response because: The response is UNTRUE.  AFTER submitting my complaint  I called Aetna for the 12th time.(Oct 4) and spoke at length with ********.   She told me that that , not only had the funds not been restored to my benefit account, but, the claim   for $6000 had never been  withdrawn by *****.  She explained that the claim would have to be corrected AND ***** would have to see that the funds were actually returned.

The short version is, I received hearing aids on May 25th for a 90 day tr4ial period, retuned then on May 26th, received and EIB fro AEetna that my benfit had been expended,  and tried for FOUR months to have it corrected

Mysteriously,  on October 5, Hearing World  returned  the  fund they received for nothing, to Aetna.  My  benefit has been returned, but  now  Hearibng World has taken to tell ridiculous  (and nonsensical) lies about me.

ANyway,  thank you for your help.
    Sincerely,

On 10/2/23, I sent a complaint that Hearing World failed to reimburse me for hearing aids returned well within the "Trial Period".

This  matter was resolved completely, shortly after I sent this complaint.  Please remove my complaint. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact me.  Thank  you.
