On 9/2/22 I had a total of 3 appointments with a total of 7 services all scheduled at A polished work, between the time 6pm-8pm, I call the nail salon to inform them that I was running behind possibly 10mins I was told okay. Please note I didn't attempt to cancel the appointments I call to inform them I was running late. Once I arrived around 6:12pm I was told that I would have to pick a service out of the three I booked for myself and was still going to be charged because I was late. Not because I canceled but because I was late. Let me point out no where on this site states if you are running late your appointment will be canceled and you will be charged for service. This is false advertisement and unlawful practices , they feel like they can do whatever because the card is on the system. I was not ask that night if I wanted to use the card on file because the owner and the tech both knew this was wrong. I am request that an investigation be done on this company and their unlaw behavior. As a business you must disclose your policies prior to ppl doing business I is very unfair for you to advertise as a cashless business only so you can change the customers at your own will. This is wrong and they do not deserve to be in business if this is going to be their practice. Please note I have changed for a pedicure service I did not receive that day. No one not even the owner care about my satisfaction. ***** the tech that took care of my daughters even though they where late as well did an amazing job and really know how to treat ppl. Please investigate this company this isn't fair business practice.

A Polished Work operates primarily on an appointment basis. We rely on our clients to uphold their agreement to show up to their appointments on time and pay for the services booked. No shows, late cancellations, and tardiness are major causes of loss of revenue for beauty businesses. Therefore, we have policies and practices to protect us against clients booking services and not receiving them. Services are booked by the time it takes to complete them. So a client showing up late can drastically impact the remainder of the schedule & technician. **** selected her own appointment time and the assigned technician was present and available at that scheduled time to perform her services (in their entirety).  **** arrived approximately ***** mins after her scheduled appointment time. She also required an additional soak- off service that was not booked, but the technician accomodated. It is unfair for the technician and business income to be reduced because the client did not hold up to their end of the agreement.

We are a cashless institution for physical and financial security purposes. We do not misuse any one's credit card information. Our cancellation policy, as well as the verbiage stating that clients that are late may be rescheduled and charged for their services is on our website. The direct link is https://www.apolishedwork.com/copy-of-rewards for your reference. Also, prior to a client's appointment they receive at least 2 communications via email/text and receive a verbal call to confirm their appointment time and details.

We are very clear and up front on our policies and the reasoning for them. We operate in the highest integrity and have done so for the past 8+ years. This claim is unfounded and merely an attempt to tarnish our reputation.
