Purchased a ***** container from the business and before delivery business sold the container that I paid for. Returned to the location to pick out another unit and sent pictures of unit for business to deliver. The day of delivery business stated unit was not accessible. Ask me to pick out another unit after wasting two weeks time. I refused to waste anymore time and asked for a refund. Requested a refund on May 20th. I have not received a refund and email address provided is no longer valid. Called and waited on hold and no one will answer the phone. Representative called me back but doesn't have an answer about when or where my refund is at.Business Response

We purchased the container on 8/29/24 and were told that it would be a used container but that we could not go to the yard and choose one. We were told that it had a 30-day money back guarantee and a five-year warranty against water, wind and weather. We were concerned about the doors immediately and noted on drivers receipt about the condition and operation of the doors so that MobileMod was aware. The unit is very beat up and ***** in and around the doors. The doors are very hard for me to open and it takes two people to operate the closing mechanism because the doors hinges are bent and the actual locking mechanism is bent as well and damaged which does not make for a smooth closure. It should not take two people to close the doors, this should be a pretty smooth function. We noticed the door seals also have spray foam on them where they need to seal against the door and that is not going to hold up for long. The door seals are very hard and not pliable which also makes them hard to close and seal. We reached out to MobileMod and they had us send in a warranty claim. They asked us to send them pictures of the issues and also pictures showing that the unit was level. We did send them everything they requested and contacted a couple of people by phone and email. We were asked to send our pictures three times as they acted like they did not receive them. One lady even emailed us back and said she received the pictures and would forward them to the appropriate department. MobileMod did offer a tube of caulk, and $100 for our troubles and we told them that was not an acceptable choice and we wanted an exchange or our money back as per the 30 day money back guarantee. At that point, they just stopped all communication. After not hearing from them, we tried calling and emailing and there was absolutely no responses at all. We still have not heard from them leaving us to file this complaint. We can send pics if needed.Business Response

We sent the following offer but customer denied the resolution. We reviewed the customer's claim and determined that the unit they received was *** and thus the resolution we provided was adequate and in line with the terms, conditions, and guarantee the customer agreed to.
Hi Mr. ********** sincerely apologize for not being able to respond to you promptly. We have been dealing with an urgent project that has kept me from attending to other tasks.
We have reviewed the pictures and videos you sent and can confirm that your container still meets the wind-and-water tight (WWT) status. While I understand there is some rust and that the seals appear rough, these issues are common in used containers. These are retired containers, many o which have spent at least 18 years in the ocean. Caulking is often used to repair areas where the seals are beginning to loosen. We can send additional caulking if you think there are areas that are not sealing properly.
Regarding the doors, we can provide you with white lithium grease to apply to the hinges and locking bars, which will help them operate more smoothly. Additionally, since the containers have been stored for some time after being in the ocean, it's normal for the doors to become stiff and require some time to break in.
In addition to the caulking and grease, we'd be happy to send you a $100 refund as well for the inconvenience.

I am rejecting this response because: The offer that MobileMod gave me was not satisfactory because that would not have fixed the doors so they could be opened and closed properly and easily. We followed all their suggestions and lubricated the door hinges and open/close mechanism and that did not help one bit. The door hinges and door mechanism are bent preventing the doors from opening/closing properly. No amount of lube is going to fix those doors to open/close more easily without some work being done to the hinges and open/close mechanism. The only acceptable resolution would be to have MobileMod pick up this unit and replace with one that works properly or if it is even possible have someone come and fix the door issues. It may be WWT which is great but if we have such a hard time opening/closing the doors what good is that. That is why I rejected their offer of lube, caulking, and $100. We just need to be able to open/close the doors on the unit without having to struggle. They asked us to send the pics of the unit to show it was level as they stated that is probably why the doors won't open/close easily. We sent them a ton of pics and a couple of videos showing the issue and that the unit was very level. I have included a video to show how hard closing the doors are and a couple showing the unit is level. If you would like to have more pics of the door hinges please let me know.

I purchased a container from mobile mob on 09/01/24. The container was suppose to be new(1 trip). The first one delivered was beaten up. After showing the driver a picture of the container I purchased and taking a picture of the container on his truck spoke with MobileMod and was told to bring it back. I was told there was only 1 container with air conditioning and electric set up and this one did not. The driver left and returned with the correct container the next day. Upon receipt of the second container I paid him the balance and he left. Later I had to have my son open it and he struggled. He just retired from the Army after 20 years so he is not weak! That is when he found the bend in the pipe that is used to close and lock the doors. In the pictures you can see the bend at the bottom. It also no longer aligns correctly. I'm 69 years old. I can open horse trailer and other trailers but I can not open this one. I have tried calling and texting the sale person and she does not return my calls. The main number is a recording that transfers you to a message center. I want the container but really would like the company to fix the doors so I can use it. I actually just found out that they advertised a 30 day warranty that I was never told about. I have several other issues but this one is most important. I can not use this by myself Is there anything out there that might be able to help me resolve this issue?Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:lubrication will not fix the problem. The entire pipe is bent making closure and opening of the door unacceptable. I was told the container wa new with 1 trip. somewhere along the way someone managed to bend the pipe that allows the doors to open and close. Someone either needs to come and assess the damage or plan on repairing the entire pipe as you can plainly see in the pictures I sent. I have already had a second opinion on this problem. The latch is even off center adding to the problem. It took my son almost 30 mnutes to get the door open at which time there was some kind of lubricant on the floor. I have not been able to use the container as of this date. Since this is the secong container I have received I would just like this problem taken care of the first time. As the compamy knows they sent me the wrong container that was badly damaged and not the one they sent me pictures of for purchase which I refused. So, to repeat myself I would like the bent pipe and latch repaired or replaced ASAP. PLEASE!!

I am rejecting this response because: I have been in contact with customer service at ********************** since your last reply to me. ****** seems to not be able to get the claims department to process my claim. After sending more pictures and video of the damaged area the claims want me to open the container and show them the level that all their containers have because it might not be level. I explained that I can't open the door band my son does not live with me. I can see if he will come by and open it which he did. Later I took pictures of the inside and there are no levels in the container, however my son had one so we put it on the door and it is level. I sent them pictures. They now want to offer me $200.00 instead of repairing it. I explained that the repairs cost more than that. I told her let the claims **** know that i will not accept the offer. However, I can see what the supplies cost and try to find someone that can do the work for me and send them the information. She said she would get back to me. i obtained the cost for the parts and then found another company that is willing to do the work. Closest was 2 hours away. ************ gave me a quote to do the work and I sent that also. She acknowledged receipt of quotes but said there are lower costs but they are reevaluating the $200.00 offer and she will get back to me. That was on Tuesday 10/11/2024. Her next contact was the next day asking if there was any update on the costings I found? I told her NO and that I have 2 small children I watch and can't be looking for better quotes than what I got. I asked her why the claims department isn't doing this. They are the ones getting paid to process claims. Also, said it sounded like they are trying to get out of the 5 year warranty and of course she stated that wasn't so. She then asks if could just for the the pricing and I asked her if maybe I should just contact the CEO. She states they are trying to make this right. I said it sounds to me like you are trying to get out of paying for this by blaming someone else and she needs to get the claims department to do their job. Then Thursday she texted me and said she will call me within the day, which never happened. Today, Friday I called her at 12:16 and wen to messages that did not allow me to leave a message. Ordered a container from this company and paid extra for shipping. I was told 7 days for shipping. It is now 3 weeks and I have not received the container. When the container was delivered the driver ripped my companies entire gate out of the ground. I spent a few thousand dollars repairing it right away since my construction yard obviolsly needs to be secured from the street. So this is the first few thousand dallars of damage done on this delivery. Factually, this container is at best scrap metal. It was clearly dropped or another container dropped on it. The **** has a 6ft plus very weak square welded patch. It was patched to cover for this huge accident. 1/3 of the containers sheet metal is welded back on to cover up various accidents. There are inumerous leaky welded patches outside of the massive ones. There are holes in the walls are were a fork lift repeatly punched through it. The container roof bows down dramatically and 'holds" inches of water on top, the water actually leaks through the welds. The floor was replaced in various areas and has major holes were humidity and air weep in. The conatiner is way out of square because of the massive roof damage. The doors do not close properly nor will they ever. The frame is bent and large amounts of rain and humidity freely flow in. The doors were poorly caulked at one point which only made the matter worse.My company was robbed in this case and extra damage was done at delivery! There is know way the installer who recieved the shipment could have seen all this damage. They would have needed to carry out a thorough inspection with lights, two people, ladders, water and air test. And even then it would not been totally apparent until the first rain. This shoddy patching and etc was a cover up, like two bad cars pieced together as one. Furthermore, this was supposed to pass a MobileMod inspection which it clearly didnt and wouldnt pass. I am positive in a civil suit case, Mobile mod cannot justify dropping this totaled container, and refusing to refund or pick up. I have waited and been patient enough on this.Business Response

At no point in time did myself or my company receive a call, or email involving a solution. If so please provide any evidence that Mobile mod reached out to us.I did not sign for this container. The signature was a laborer who is not authorized to legally represent me. Furthermore, ***** and structural issues are bot immediately apparent upon deliver.
There are lemon laws for a reason. Own up to the fact you sold a at best scrapped container and then ignored the entire situation.
Did i sign, that your delivery driver could do $5000 in damage to our company gate, by ripping it out of the ground during delivery?

The issue is the chargeback. We delivered on 1/27/23 and received a notification of the chargeback on 2/3/2023. We tried resolving the issue, and you refused our proposed solutions multiple times. Communication of delivery and available records on 1/27/2023 state that you were communicated with via phone about a delivery, which you agreed to via phone.
When it comes to property damage, this is the first time we have heard about it. It has been five and a half months since delivery. I am noting that it was not brought in when you filed the initial claim on 5/23/2023. Since a third-party carrier delivered it, you would need to file a claim directly with their insurance company. MobileMod is not responsible for property damage.

I purchased a storage container from this company under the impression that it would be in working order wheter the unit was new or used. when the storage container was delivered the one of the doors were not latched becasuse the door does not shut all the way. I pointed that out to the deliver driver immediately and all he was concerned with was me signing the paper work which i did not do. i have contacted the compay Mobile mod many times the contact person i have been dealing with has not returned my email in 20 days. i think they are ignoring me now. They did offer me a $100 refund but i paid $3012.59 for this to be working properly and it will cost me almost $500 to have a welder fix this problem. I feel like they should either replace the unit with a unit that is in working order or reimburse me for the $500 i will have to pay the welder to fix the locking mechanism. A few factors will cause problems once delivered, and one of them is placing the container on the ground causing the container to pinch the doors. We recommend trying lithium lubricant, which our claims team can send you. I understand that we have offered $350 to be refunded and cover the cost of a contractor to fix the latch if necessary. I was misled through the whole procedure for one the sales rep told me it would be fast and easy delivery which the representative sent me an email saying 7 to 14 days is 2 to 3 weeks thats incorrect. Secondly, they told me the container would be no more than 7 to 10 years old, its was a ****. Thirdly, seals on the door were cracked,and someone glued pieces of rubber in the seals, which when I open the door they fell out , and thirdly, when I did open the door , there were 5 holes in the roof of the container, and then the delivery driver and Mobile Mods refused to pay his delivery fee for returning the container, so eagle logistics has now dropped any business with Mobile Mods because of this Im just looking for a total refund Very disappointed and very misled.Business Response
