Hello. I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance in Chicago on 7/18/24. I was billed by Chicago EMS for the full amount ($3,059) even though I filed it with my insurance (Cigna). Chicago EMS sent me several invoices, and the last one was a past due, so I paid it in full, thinking I would be reimbursed by *****, my health care provider at the time. ***** had already paid Chicago EMS during this time, so Chicago EMS was double paid. I am due $2373.35 from Chicago EMS as a reimbursement for my payment, since Cigna already paid Chicago EMS. This reimbursement has been in the Chicago EMS system for months, and I've called them, Cigna has called them, and Chicago EMS keeps telling us the check is due to be sent. I called one last time yesterday, and still my problem is unresolved. On the Chicago EMS website, my claim for $2373.35 is pending, and has been pending for months. I am out of patience, and I need Chicago EMS to pay me what I am due, since they accepted double payment (myself and Cigna) for the original bill, and have kept all the ******** invoice number with Chicago EMS is DCHGO713090, and the incident number is *********. I can provide other documentation if needed.
