    On 10/14/24, I tried to reactivate membership at the YMCA located at **************************************************************** - **************. They attempted to overcharge me by processing another "membership" fee of $100, though I have been an active member for over 5 years and the front desk staff confirmed that my family of 8 is still in the system and our existing membership cards could be used to access the facility once I paid the past due balance on the account of $90 and the prorated amount for this month. There were 2 front desk women that refused to reinstate my membership unless I paid another $100 membership fee, which was not disclosed when I inquired about reinstatement nor when I made the payment I was told by one of the ladies was needed to reinstate membership ($90 plus the prorated amount for this month).

    Every year I have to submit my divorce decree to ************************************** to get records my children who I have 50/50 custody of. Again this year I have had to file an extension on my taxes, because they are unwilling to provide the required information. My ex did not provided the divorce decree when she signed them up, but I have been required to show proof every single time.

    On Aug 14th I attempted to sign up for the ************** YMCA. Authorizing a one time payment of $47.34. After this I did not schedule a reoccurring pay for membership because I noticed that it was for the **********, ** YMCA. Knowing that the Middletown YMCA was not open and it was the YMCA Location I planned to use, I attempted to change the membership to Middletown location. Which I believed I had accomplished at the time. To my surprise, I received an email requesting payment the last week of Aug. I signed on to my account and used the contact section to inquire. Notify the YMCA of DE that I was trying to sign up for the Middletown location. The response was from "****" at Middletown Front desk on Aug 30th just pointed me to a website and offered to reserve membership. Feeling like I was getting no where, I simply replied to cancel my membership on Aug 31st. The next week, Sep 4th, with without any further communication and curious if the account was closed, I attempted to sign onto the YMCA account and was unable to sign in, thinking this matter was closed. On Sep 21st, I received my credit card bill and saw a charge from the YMCA posted on Sep 5th for $80. I never authorized this charge or set up reoccurring payment. My expectation is that this matter will be resolved quickly and a refund of the $80.
