I was a customer with *********** for about a year more or less. During that time I mostly use them as a secondary checking account. In July of this year, I attempted to deposit a $3000 check using the Axos app. The transfer process went through smoothly and for the first 24 hours there was no indication that there was an issue. The app said the check had been accepted, and the full amount was marked as pending The day after I logged onto the Axos app to check and see if the deposit had fully posted to my account yet. When I first logged onto the app, the check showed us pending, and then disappeared completely from the screen. I could not find any record of a transaction from that month or any records of any transaction from my Axos bank. I contacted customer support and was informed that my checking account had been closed due to inactivity several months before. However, I Have been unable to locate any Record of notification from Axos of the closure . Since this occurred several months before, I cant verify if I was notified. I was informed by the representatives at Axos bank that because there was no checking account for the money to be deposited into That the check should simply bounce back in 3 to 4 business and the writer of the check would see their money return without further fuss. The next day, the writer of the check informed me that the money had been drafted from her account. Its difficult to re-create the events from there without access to my records and notifications but I am now locked out of the axos app. The last time that I spoke to Axos bank, they informed me that a cashiers check had been mailed to me on August 2 and should arrive within 7 to 10 business days. However, I have been informed multiple times by Axos bank that the check is in the mail only to find out later that there was more information that they needed for me or that some other issue had arrived. They have made no attempts to contact me directly.
