    Im writing to express deep disappointment with the customer service I received from **********************. We chose one of their recommended contractors, **** ****** of ***** Homes, and the experience has been alarming. Mr. ****** misrepresented facts, used intimidation tactics, and delivered shoddy workmanship.Our paint job is splotchy. There are large, uncovered nail holes on every Hardie boardagainst James Hardies own installation guidelines. ******** was smeared between brick and siding, making our house look like its oozing. Paint was left on windows, brick, and landscaping despite requests to protect them.The job site was left in an unsafe state: chicken wing bones and cigarette butts were found in the yard, and an exposed exacto knife was left on our porchserious hazards since we have dogs. On 5/31/24 around 8 AM, I witnessed crew members publicly urinate as no portable toilet was provided for them at that time and no one from Hatch Homes was on site to *********. Gayler also demanded we pay him by the hour to explain how his installation met James Hardie standardseven though James Hardie confirmed our third-party inspection report showing it didnt. When we followed legal advice to withhold payment until work was corrected, Mr. ****** threatened us with interest fees.James Hardie representatives also gave conflicting accounts. ******* ****** stated via email that they were unable to get responses from Hatch Homes. **** ***** told my husband the oppositethat Hatch Homes was responding promptly. These conflicting accounts have not only discredited us but have also painted us as unreasonable or disgruntled clients. This has been used as a way to dismiss/ignore our valid concerns regarding a highly unprofessional and defective install.We cannot recommend James Hardie. If youre considering their siding, do not trust their preferred installers list. The company does not stand behind its standards or its customers. What happened to us can happen to you.

    Claim 2024-18352 ****************************************** Installation Sept 21 1998 Hardiplank auditor Installation audit Sept 24 1998( no Installation error)Product cost $3000 Installation cost$ ****** Hardiplank Warrantly 50 year Homeowner approached in Feb 2024 Hardiplank with pictures of crumbling corners and hardi plank offered 50 planks. After about two months of Hardiplank approved installer as well as other couple of installers said there was installation errors not recorded by the hardiplank auditor. Studs were put at the end of the boards giving them no room to expand _ a product requirement.Original home owners House has been painted and well maintained. From April 10 to June 13. ********** took over two months to offer 350 plants as given by the current installers estimate but want us to accept the offer with 2 weeks by June 27, 2024. Because of hardipla k delayed response i currently dont have an installer available and they are aware of it.. They refused to honor their own installation audit where hardiplank audito failed to mention that stud were incorrectly placed in the boards. The current installer says that's the prime reason for the boards cracking. We need your help to get not just boards but also the instalation done by hardiplank.     Our research indicates the homeowner claim was not denied and we are awaiting their response.  In the claim submission in March of this year, the customer said they had 100 pcs affected. The pictures submitted with the claim did not show that many affected pieces and a goodwill product voucher for 50 pcs was offered

    After some back and forth, the customer reached back out and said her contractor said she needs to replace 340 pcs this was in June of 2024.

    We then sent a revised goodwill product voucher (attached) for 340 pcs of product, which has still not been signed. The claim is still currently open and has a status of Open Waiting Sign Off.

    I will respond to her later today.

    In the meantime, I will remove ************************* from the emails as she leads a different unrelated function and provide an alternative contact,

    I am rejecting this response because: I have already REJECTED to ********************* OF HARDIE PLANK CLAIMS  before contacting BBB  to help resolve my claim. Iam requesting labor plus material of the 340 hardiplank replacement boards The Hardie plank installation audit report is attached. Hardiplank auditor signed off on  faulty installation as  per siding installers who came to to look at the damaged boards they claim  installation was done incorrectly.. . . I was extra careful to get the installation audited by hardiplank auditor as I was replacing LP Siding with hardiplank in 1998. please help me  with this claim I am the original home  owner and have done everything to keep the property well maintained with clean gutters and house painted regularly

    We have offered materials but do not cover labor and installation as this 1998 install was completed incorrectly by a third party. I have asked our claims team to look at this once more and when will revert back to the homeowner with findings/offer..

    I am rejecting this response because:Yesterday the gear of claims deptcalled. He said they won't honor signed instalation audit dine by hariplank auditor in 1998  and hence won't pay for labor  to replace the 340 replacement boards .  Only thing extra they can do is
    1. Deliver the 340boards to my house
    2.keep this offer open for awhile year since , I have rainy season in *************** and would prefer summer instalation. ( which was missed due to hardiplank delays on their side.

    Hello,

    Homeowner was informed the installation audit conducted in 98 was not a rubber stamp on install, we do not do the install and that our warranty does not cover install. 
    Further pointed out that 340 pcs seemed excessive again, pointing to the fact that  submission pics show only one cracked plank and one damaged edge on a plank.
    A small repair to get the cracked plank replaced and get the rest of the currently required BPs in place and a repaint would be sufficient. However we will be willing to provide that 340 pcs of material.

    We offered a Material Settlement where we will have the product delivered to her when shes ready. She asked if she could wait until next Spring and I told her that was fine. She asked to be sent the new agreement.
