    I am visiting *******, and purchased two tickets on July 10 for a boat cruise on July 12.******* experienced unprecedented storms and tornado warnings the day my cruise was scheduled. There were sirens and severe weather alerts in the area, and folks were told to shelter in place. I was literally not able to leave the basement of the building I was in. Thousands of flights were canceled and thousands don't have power.Meanwhile, this company claims it was safe to be on the boat and will not issue a refund even with the extreme inclement weather. It is unfathomable to me that they could say this based on the weather in the area (articles included below).I completely understand they wouldn't offer refunds due to a change of plans, etc. But when it comes to the safety of passengers and children this seems extremely unsafe and frankly like a scam.*********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

    Hello,

    The tornado warning started at around 6:30pm. Our tour was at 5pm and was completed before the first warning. We also state on our Terms and Description before purchasing the deal to which the customer agreed that, "The ********************** always occur unless the coast guard deems it unsafe, which rarely happens on the river. As soon as you reserve a date, a spot is automatically reserved for you and not sold to anyone else. Please note that you can bring an umbrella/poncho on the boat. Additionally, the boat has a fully covered interior deck." Customer emailed us and provided and exception to reschedule for a different day and she denied. She pushed back with a refund which we already approved. Refund was processed  July 13, 2023 at 12:07 PM CDT.

    Purchased 90 minute boat tour with the intention of using the voucher on the day it was purchased. Upon receipt of payment I learned that no tours would take place on that date. Unfortunately, it was my final day in *******, so I was unable to take tour. Within 5 minutes of booking, I requested a refund but the service provider and Groupon refused. It's also worth mentioning how convoluted and misleading the advertisement is, as very few details are provided until after they receive payment. I suspect this is done intentionally.

    Good Afternoon! 

    The customer did not purchase his ticket from our company.  They purchased it from a discount website, Groupon.com and the transaction was processed on that website.  When purchasing tickets through a 3rd party website, the customer is locked into the terms of that website.  When you visit the deal website the customer has included, you will notice the website has information about the schedule and also mentions that the sales are final sales.  Unfortunately, it seems the customer purchased a voucher without reading the details.   See attachment.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The business has not issued me a refund. No service was rendered or will be rendered (I live in ****** and will not be returning to *******). 

    The Groupon listing is misleading and should be changed to warn customers on the site where they purchase the cruise that cruises may not offered for the date of purchase.

    I again request that the company issue a refund as a good will gesture to a tourist.
