    I purchased my tickets for BroadwaySF for a show and paid for the insurance because my sister is dealing with a life threatening illness and i knew i may have to fly home. The business made it sound like the insurance would cover any type of reason for refund needed. When i emailed BroadwaySF, they told me they used a third party refund company and i would have to contact them. I submitted my refund request and was told i had to provide documentation as to why i could not make it. The only documentation i had was a flight itinerary showing i flew to ********* and provided a detailed explanation of my sister needing a bone marrow transplant and how i had to fly home to be her caregiver and possible donor. I could not send them any of my sister's medical information, but i did send them a letter from her doctor proving she had a life threatening illness, but they refused it saying the date did not cover my inability to make the show. I sent them all i had, but they insisted i sent them something that showed i could not make the show, but all i could send them is my reason and information showing i was home and why. It's ridiculous that i had to jump through hoops, then no matter what information provided they sit here and say they need to follow compliance with documentation, but what if people do not have a letter that explains why they can't make that exact date? Considerations should be made for those who provide as much detail as possible and some proof whether it be a letter for that show date or not. They took my money under false pretenses then, i lost even more money because now i can't make the show, no one will buy them from me, and now i can't even get my money back as i was made to believe i would. It's unfair, unethical, and just plain wrong.
