I've never had a worse experience getting a loan. I'm so sad this is who SoFi has chosen to work with and to be fair, at least for a mortgage, SoFi hasn't been a whole lot better. I have always had a wonderful experience with **** services and lending until now. This company works slow. They clearly do not care at all about customer service. I was told my second mortgage would be disbursed on October.13 minutes on hold. Transferred to another department. Back on hold for another few minutes. The representative I spoke with was very kind and answered my questions. It is not her fault that everything is horribly slow. They also sent snail mail checks for disbursements but said they couldn't disburse the rest of the funds until nearly 4 days after the initial disbursement date and roughly 2 full weeks after closing. If I ever buy property again I'm going shop around a lot harder and ask a lot more questions to avoid companies like this.

My worst experience with a title company ever. Over the last 3 years I got 6 closings with 3 different companies. This was BY FAR the worst. Starting with a wrong Final Statement that went 10K short on the money that I had to deposit. I realized that the same closing day and was able to transfer 10K more before the closing. They sent me the Final Closing Statement (right this time) TWO DAYS AFTER the closing!!It was supposed to be a DocuSign closing at 2:00 pm. I had to wait until 3:45 going back and forth with my lawyer until the closing agent showed up with an email saying they were working on the papers. One hour later she sent a .pdf to be printed, signed, scanned and sent back. NOT A SAFE TRANSACTION!! Nor a DocuSign as it was supposed to be. After asking for a DocuSign the agent said she was working remotely and didn't have DocuSign!! Finally I got a DocuSign from a different agent at 5:30 PM (3 and 1/2 hours later!!). They stated a wrong address on the State Docs, and didn't do anything yet to correct that. I'll have to pay for changing that (for their mistakes!!NEVER AGAIN!!

Be alert that they will not disclose beforehand that, in the case of a joint purchase didn't go through, they are unable to write a refund check for your ******* funds to the person who paid the initial deposit. Instead, they will write a check with all purchase parties on there and you will most likely encounter difficulties to deposit if you don't have a joint account with everyone's name on there. I was fortunate enough to have a banker I've worked with for a long time who helped me and deposited the check properly. But be cautious if you work with them. Ask for full disclosure, especially the process if a purchase doesn't go through. They will tell you nobody expects that to happen well, that's exactly why there needs to be a full disclosure.

Bought a home and this was the company the sellers used. They were terrible to work with.- I had to ask for a receipt for my EMD deposit, they did not initially offer me one - Sent me documents to sign with no explanations and usually they were sent in the evening after they were closed.- Asked for all of my half of the sale proceeds from my house without inquiring as to whether that was appropriate or looking at the preliminary loan docs (I was NOT putting down all of my proceeds)- Did not make it clear to me that I had to have the *** documents in my possession before signing the final papers which caused me to have to pay for a notary to come to my house as we were running out of time to sign,- At the end of the process seemed to be ignorant of the fact that I lived over 50 miles away from their office. In general, they were extremely unhelpful and cold. Stay away from them if you can.

As a seller of a property who paid the majority of Chicago Title's closing costs. I requested my closing documents, they refused to provide them. I was only given 3 sheets of paper after requesting over 10 times for my closing paperwork. It has been over 3 months and they still won't provide my closing paperwork. This is causing issues in the purchase of my new home, yet, they will not do their job and provide what is owed to me adding... spent thousands of dollars for.

Chicago Title Insurance Co. here in *********** (their closer more specifically) has been extremely difficult to work with. Our company has worked with them twice now and each time it has made the title process significantly more difficult. I called their office number and left a voicemail because I could not get ahold of their closer (turns out it was a silly mistake and our emails were being white listed to each other), and when the closer FINALLY called me back, two days before closing, she screamed at me and hung up the phone before I could respond. This closer was extremely unprofessional and rude. Embarrassing for their company.
