In August 2024, BBB investigated Travel Exhibit 2024's business practices. This investigation was prompted by a scam inquiry regarding a large amount of submissions from consumers receiving a mailer that they believe to be a travel scam.
Per the consumers:
"Received letter (trifold mailer) titled 2024 Travel and Excursion Showcase on 28 June with same wording as your sample to call within 24 hours and receive a $100 dining voucher good at over 45,000 restaurants. Location is Holiday Inn Express for this "event" and no return address (postage paid mailer permit 210 18640 and checked online for scam first. Same use of Marriott, Hilton or Hyatt hotels listed with retail value of this award as $1180 and same blurry top right of page watermark with cruise ship to left head one so no logo and airplane shadow to right."

We do not have a viable address found for this location. There is no SOS report for this company. We have not received a response regarding the ownership and the type of business they are running regarding the travel industry.

On 08/02/2024, BBB requested additional information by sending the letter to the only address on file based on the mailers sent to consumers. As of 08/14/2024, BBB has not received any response from the business.

On 08/02/2024, BBB contacted the business regarding their advertised mailers that are circulating IL residents home. The BBB received multiple scam submission regarding attending a travel showcase. The consumers are concerned the business is a travel agency scheme. The BBB has asked the business to substantiate that they are currently in service and to provide documentation as required by BBB’s Code of Advertising.
The business advertised the following product on their website:
A review of your mailer letter, we have found the following:
“You and your spouse are cordially invited to attend Travel Exhibit 2024. Join us for a fun-filled tourism and travel showcase attempting to get America traveling again. In exchange for your attendance, you will receive (2) complimentary round trip airline vouchers…etc”
The BBB Code of Advertising States:
1. Basic Principles of the Code
