***** ( Precision HVAC and Appliances **** was referred to me because I was told my refrigerator needed a compressor according to another technician. ***** got the refrigerator running. However, he failed to complete the job and he failed to warn me the compressor he packed up for me to return contained oil that would spill if tilted . He failed to fasten back the lower back panel on the refrigerator (see photo). He failed to send an invoice spelling out his verbal agreement and an invoice for additional repairs we discussed prior to his departure, Saturday, December 10th. Had I bot discovered the unopened igniter in the trash he had packed up, I would have thrown it out and not realized he had not fixed the bake igniter until I got ready to utilize it. Therefore,I stopped the check hoping we would resolve the outstanding task and he would take responsibility for the oil spill especially on the carpet. Due to my disagreeing with him, he cancelled the appointment. ***** was given the opportunity to make things right. My willingness to pay him for the work he completed and allow him to complete the unfinished work changed when he stated he cancelled the appointment and the warranty. Based on *****'s actions, I am no longer comfortable working with him. If he is willing to still guarantee the work he did complete and still honor his one year warranty by allowing another tech to repair the work if it fails prior to the one year warranty, deduct for the work he did not finish, and take responsibility for the oil spill, depending on the final cost to have someone complete the unfinished tasks and if the oil can be removed from the carpet, this will determine what he should be paid, if anything. Attached is a printout detailing what took place...invoices ***** eventually sent, photo of the oil spots on the carpet I could not remove; photo of the refrigerator and photo of the back of the refrigerator that was left unfastened.
