    The person who came to write the estimate was not very thorough in examining the area to be repaired and work to be done. It took 8 calendar days, (5 business days), plus several phone calls to the office to receive one generic picture of possible work. The estimate took another 2 days. Plus we paid $60 for an estimate. I did not trust this company to compete the repair in a timely manner, and the estimate was quite overpriced.

    Thank you for submitting your review. Our estimate turn around time is 3-5 business days, and we were unfortunately a day late on that. With being short staffed and in our busy season, this process took a day longer that we anticipated. So I do apologize for that. The $60 fee would have been reimbursed if you chose to go with our company. This estimate was written up thoroughly and reviewed by the lead technician and the owner before being sent out to you. With that being said, I understand if you choose to go another route. We do keep estimates on file, so if you change your mind, please feel free to contact us and we can review your options.

    This company is such a scam! They sent someone based off of a phone conversation to complete work in several rooms. They showed up to hand drape hardware and only brought one person. They proceeded to tell us they need two people so they can't do. But we owe them $60 for them even coming out. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! Awful!

    Mr. Handyman would have been happy to assist you with the projects that you mentioned in the phone call; this included curtains/draps, mirrors, art work, etc. The CSR explained that due to the weight and size of the items you wanted mounted - along with the location, it would require 2 technicians. This is to protect not just our technicians, but also your possessions. It was our understanding that you wanted to proceed with the mounting of one set of curtains/drapes for this appointment, due to us being booked so far out for sending two technicians.
    Once the technician arrived and learned of the misunderstanding, he explained that we can go ahead and quote the additional work, but would have to return to perform the work with another technician - as discussed on the phone with the CSR. We typically charge a service fee if we arrive onsite and the customer declines the work or the quote that was given to them over the phone - as that is how most quotes are given. The reason we do this is because our technician dispatched to your home, per your request (which is further out than we typically go), and then work was declined. This is to recover costs from fuel, van maintenance and schedule recovery.
    Mr. Handyman is not a scam - we are a franchise company and we pride ourselves in our customer satisfaction and our experienced technicians' work. I apologize if this experience was not what you were hoping. It seems there was a misunderstanding at some point and we hope that you understand that was not our intention.
