We hired Campbell Fencing to replace our backyard fence, he promised he could get to it soon and asked for 50% down to buy materials. Each time we contacted him, he made a different excuse for not getting the job done. Finally we asked for our deposit back, which he said he would do but it’s been over 6 months now and can’t contact him anymore.

My father hired ***** Campbell ("The Stain Guy") on April 17, 2023 to repair and re-stain the deck on the front of his home. The projected completion date of the job was 7 weeks; he indicated somewhere between May 30 - June 7. After several unanswered phone calls and unreturned messages, my father became concerned about the legitimacy of the job and whether he'd been scammed. I reached out to Mr. Campbell myself and we've communicated several times by phone and text. He indicated that he'd lost staff members and been forced to complete most of the jobs himself. This was the reason he gave for not having gotten back to me in a more timely manner, not to mention the reason he hadn't gotten to my father's job yet. I finally told Mr. Campbell that I wanted my father's deposit back and for him to take our job off his books. I let him know that I expected the full deposit back either in cash or with a cashier's check. He put me off multiple times, using the excuse of being out of town on a job or not having the money. This guy is NOT credible, nor does he know how to run a business!
