    on May 1st, I reached out to the finance company to advise them that due to unforeseen circumstances, I would be paying rent on 05/11/2023. I advised them I had an emergency and would not have the allocated funds needed to pay rent until 05/11/2023. Roc property then charged me 50 dollars a day from 05/04/2023-05/12/2023. I did have a check dropped off on 05/12/2023. I was then assessed over 600 dollars in late fees due to paying the rent late. I tried to reach out to the property company to discuss these fees, and see if they could work with me. I do know my lease states that rent paid after the 4th of the month does incur 50 dollar a day late fee, however, I have never paid my rent this late, and figured the company would be able to drop some of these fees and work with me as I am a human, who was honest and up front about not having the fees. I did expect to have to pay fees, however, the fees of 50 dollars per day is excessive and will make my paying the rent for June ***************************************************** any way. I was given one option to pay 200 dollars in 24 hours, or else, all the fees will stay. That is not doable in my finances and I was honest and advised them of this. They are unwilling to work with me on the fees that I do acknowledge are owed, however, I am asking for some help and adjustments in these fees and they are unwilling to work with me as a tenant and a human.
