      FRAUD. As you can see from my attachment, I paid $115 for oil change and was told I would receive a gift card!! This is also on the receipt at the bottom. I didn't want to pay this much in the first place, there are MANY businesses to choose from in this city. Oil change was done on 7/21/2023. Here we are 4 months later and NO gift card was received and I have contacted Speedlube, per their website, numerous times. FALSE advertising to lure customers in to pay more on oil change.

      I still have not received the gift card, any kind of refund, nothing.  I contacted the business myself per their website and provided everything and they still haven't done a thing!  I want them reported for FRAUD.

      Over 10 days ago, the business called and spoke to me directly, and stated to compensate for this, they were going to send a $50 Visa gift card.  To date, STILL have not received this. They did not fulfil the Rebate which is why I submitted this complaint, and now they are not fulfilling their word per phone conversation with the business.

      ***** ******** has been in contact with the customer and Speed Lube. ***** ******** has informed us they are sending her a $50 gift card. This is after having found the customer never submitted the invoice for processing to receive the $20 gift card. We do not know why she has not received the $50 gift card yet and we are not in control of how long shipment takes. We will contact ***** ******** again to reach out to her.

      On 9/15/2023 I got an oil change from Speed Lube they informed me that my 2012 Subaru Forester needed Synthetic Oil I say ok and let them do the oil change while working on the car they told me that the engine needed to be flushed that it would take ten additional minutes and that the air filter needed to be changed I did the air filter but couldn’t afford to get the engine flushed I asked if I could come back to get the engine flushed I was told it would be fine until my next oil change I leave the next day the engine light abs and cruise control came on and it would not accelerate normally it would start slow and then jerk then it would drive normally I put the car in the shop only to find out that there was no transmission fluid in the car they put the transmission fluid in but are trying to access how much damage is done to the transmission mission I called Speed Lube about what happened and they said they don’t have transmission fluid for the 2012 Subaru forester and they don’t carry synthetic oil for my type of car and that there was nothing they could do about my transmission I want my transmission paid for by Speed Lube

      oil change
      horrendous costumer service, employee very agitated before I even entered the bay. Employee was aggressively waving me forward and wanted me to move more to the left. I was completely aware of the situation as I cautiously maneuvered my van forward. I continued to get out and was still appalled with his behavior. The oil changed continued on and I paid and left. As I was leaving I noticed the steering wheel felt rough and different. I looked down and saw the slits in the steering wheel. The steering wheel was NOT like that before that visit. I drove back around to ask the employee if he knew how this happen. He denied knowing what happen and continued to be very agitated towards me. I asked to talk with a different employee that claimed they didn't touch my steering wheel. He then quickly started accusing me that I almost hit the first employee as i was first pulling into the bay. At this time I am flabbergasted and quite frankly confused. I can without a doubt guarantee the cameras would should that not being true. I quickly left as I was not at all comfortable in this situation. I left with zero resolution, and a damaged steering wheel.

      We take these matters seriously. We have investigated this matter with the employees at the location. There is not enough evidence to show that any employee damaged the steering wheel. None of the employees wear jewelry on their fingers or hands. As far as the employee being agitated, the employee did admit he had to be aggressive with his motion because the vehicle was steering toward the pit and as the vehicle approached closer he had to yell stop because the vehicle was continuing toward him even after using a hand gesture to stop.We asked the customer to provide us with proof that the steering wheel was not damaged prior to us servicing the vehicle. She could not provide any. Maybe, the reaction turning the wheel during her approach into our bay, when the employee motioned to her turn, caused the damage. We do not have cameras in our facility. Since there is not any proof that the steering wheel was not damaged prior to us servicing it we declined the claim.

      I recently took my vehicle to speed lube on West grand avenue In Decatur. After the oil change my engine is ticking which is a known result of an improperly done oil change my car was running fine until I got the oil change I took my car back to the speed lube they said it wasn't anything they did wrong. I contacted corporate and talked to someone named J.r. I tried to explain what was happening with my vehicle after this oil change at which point he told me to shut up its because my car is old .my car is in good condition and we'll maintained it was fine when I brought it there now it's not. they have done this to several people according to reviews online and same treatment when contacted about this issue

      We tried speaking with the customer. He was not cooperative. We did inspect the vehicle 5 days after his service with us. The oil level was still full. The oil filter was tight and not leaking. There is engine noise. We explained to the customer that our work was correct and the service we provided to him does not cause engine noise unless our work failed due to loss of oil. Being that the oil level was still full and the oil filter was still fine, he needed to have it looked at by a mechanic. He got defensive and threatened us with litigation. At this point our recommendation was for him to have his attorney call us. According to his service history with us, his drain interval was approximately 15,000 miles. His manufacturer requires oil drain intervals much sooner than that.
