      We poured two concrete patios at our home. We had them laser leveled and checked for proper grading. We had 3 different guys calculate the total concrete yardage to order. All 3 are very well experienced in calculating concrete yardage. All three measured at least 2 times, one measured 3 times, including a laser measurement. The total yardage needed for the 2 patios was 7.5 yards of concrete. So, to be safe we ordered 8 yards. The Roanoke truck that came was supposed to have 8 yards of concrete on board. While pouring the 2nd patio, we ended up with an approximately 8' x 13' section that we ran out of concrete for. Roanoke forced us to order 3 more yards. They charged Sat delivery fee and taxes included, $1,166.xx for the 8 yards we originally ordered. Then they turned around and forced us to order 3 more yards and charged an additional $500.xx. The guy doing the yardage calculations had never been wrong once when it came to figuring yardage. Roanoke claims they sent 8 yards. We were 3" depth in the center of each patio and 3.5" depth on the edges. We should have actually had 1/2 - 1 full yard extra. Roanoke "checked" their scale and said it was correct. They also charged us an extra fee for the truck being on the property too long. Both trucks were emptied in approx 2 - 2 1/4 hours. They said their GPS shows one truck being there for 2 hours. 100% scam!! They knew what they were doing by under delivering on a Saturday. They delivered approx 6.5 yards and claimed it was 8 forcing us to buy more and thus making them more money on an OT day. They screwed us. I've since heard horror stories similiar to this about Roanoke Concrete Products and have had multiple people tell me that they wish they knew I was going to use them, because they would have stopped me. These people are scammers and can not be trusted period! I'd like a refund of a minimum of 3 yards worth of material that we were forced to buy through their scam!

      All of our ready mix is computer batch and we can show a record of all products in that load.  We pour for others that same day and there were no other problems. We check our scale which are inspected and certified by IDOT and there were no problems. We find it hard to believe his grade was that perfect as we have found in the past that grade can be off and with the weight of the concrete it can also settle.

       I am rejecting this response because:
      3 different professionals measured the area 3 separate times each.  It was laser leveled at multiple points throughout each pad to be poured.   How we mysteriously ended up being a yard short and were required to order a minimum of 3 yards more was quite convenient for the seller (Roanoke).   They also billed us more because the driver(s) were on site "too long".   How they dumped out their loads at a regular pace that the pros on site see EVERY SINGLE DAY but somehow went "overtime" was rather convenient too.   Since this pour I've spoken with a number of concrete finishers and concrete workers (6 to be exact and that doesn't include the ones on site the day of the pour) and each and every one of them shook their head when told about Roanoke Concrete pulling this stunt.  All said we should have never used them and that they are known shiesters.  As far as you all having a scale and "checking batches", numbers are very easily manipulated, especially when no one is looking.   You guys at Roanoke are what I've heard you are, SCAMMERS!  Shame on you and shame on me for ever having thought you all could be trusted.  A lesson learned by me, and a story to stear business away from you all is to be repeated by us to as many folks as we can possibly tell.   If it takes 1 single truck load away from you all every week from now on I'd be very happy.   As long as I can help prevent others from becoming victims to your scam.   I can look myself in the mirror each day knowing I do right by people and am truthful.   Can you?
