2 years ago we had a thunderstorm. My flue cap was torn off and I noticed a small leak in the ceiling a bit after. I called the insurance and a contractor, and they came out together to look at it. They said that they could replace my siding as well, when they fixed the leak. Six months went by and the siding, and external stuff had been completed. I paid them in full, minus the work for the ceiling leak and flue cap, because it hadnt been done yet. I didnt hear from Gold standard for several months while the drip was getting worse. When I did finally talk to the contractor, ****, he said he had been up on my roof and fix the leak, but my security cameras did not pick him up the several times he told me this. And every time it rained it leaked. He would claim to come to the house and try something else. At one point, he sent another guy to look at the roof. It was a lot of back-and-forth with no results. At one point, he said he would send a guy out and do it for $800. I would tell him that I wanted to contact the insurance company first. I never heard back from ****. At this point, it has been almost a year and a half since I signed the contract with them all the while my leak has now turned into something that goes across my ceiling and drips into an exterior wall, where the entire wall is shifting, and my side door is near impossible open now because of swelling in the wood. I emailed the manager, ****, asking him to resolve this situation without ****. After a week, he texted me asking me when my availability was. I responded and waited over a week. I still havent heard anything. At this point, I probably have structural damage to my house. They got their big $30,000 payout, and brushed off the smaller task, which shouldve been a couple hundred dollar job has now probably turned into thousands. I dont even want deal with this company anymore. My house is still not repaired.

      (1) We hired Gold Standard to install a metal roof, which was delayed by Gold Standard for >4 months. There is still one small corner missing that needs to be addressed. Furthermore, the roof has been leaking during recent rain showers. (2) Gold Standard installed aluminum wrapped window *****. Unfortunately, the window ***** that Gold Standard installed do not have a correct slope that pitches away from the house. Ten out of eleven ***** do not have sufficient pitch, out of these, seven pitch towards the house. In addition, one aluminum panel has detached and needs to be reinstalled. Caulking around windows is missing and/or defective. This caused gaps around the windows that can lead to water intrusion. I sent 15 separate messages to Gold Standard about this issue - the first message was sent on 08/13/22 the day after the installation. However, Gold Standard has failed to fixed this issue for over 6 month, exposing our house to repetitive rainwater. (3) Gold Standard framed a new building addition. As part of this Gold Standard opened an existing wall to connect the house to the new frame. However, Gold Standard did not implement adequate structural support. After Gold Standard assured me that the implementation was structurally sound I called in a structural engineer for an evaluation, which showed that the support was not sufficient. I unsuccessfully reached out to Gold Standard about this issue. Eventually, I had to hire a separate ********* to fix this issue at a cost of $5,400. Another potential structural issue has arisen, but Gold Standard has refused to provide us with information on the structural implementation. In addition, Gold Standard was promised to relocate four steel support columns. After a significant delay, Gold Standard attempted to install non-code conform columns, and refused to install adequate columns. We would like that Gold Standard subtracts our cost for fixing these defective and/or missing items from the final bill.
