    10/27/2022- Elgin Super Auto has sold me a used engine for a **** Audi A6 in the amount for $800.00. The labor hours to install this engine was 21 hours. After successfully installing the engine, I realized that the engine was a defect due to bad timing chain. I notified Elgin Super Auto, the salesman is known as 'Bud", who informed me that he will send a replacement engine once we provide the defected one in return. He also informed me that he will recompense ate the time worked and any labor fees towards future purchase. A few weeks later I received the second used engine, and returned the original first (defect) engine to Elgin Super Auto. I proceeded to install the second engine and after successfully installing it and spending again another 21 hours in labor, the engine was another defect. Same issues as the first engine, this one as well had a bad timing chain. I notified *** again at Elgin Super Auto, who explained that he will refund me the $800.00 but would need to return the engine. At this point in time, I asked for the compensation for my labor before any further action was taken. They refused our original agreement for compensation of labor. I tried to reach out to the owner for Elgin Super Auto, (*****), who has not been responsive. I am currently looking for assistance in compensation for labor of 42 hours total plus the $800.00 refund for the defect engines.

    Our warranty is the same today as it has been for over 55 years.  We offer an exchange item and there is absolutely no warranty on labor.  We told you several times over the phone that if you wish to return the engine to us we will gladly give you a refund on the purchase price of the engine.
