    On July 14 of this year, I had what was to be an overheating issue repaired . I went to a place called My Mechanic in Elmhurst that someone had recommended. They said I needed a radiator so I purchased a new radiator then they said there were many other things I needed fixed like a sensor and other items which added up to over $1500. (1/2 was labor and 1/2 parts) I gave them the $1500 and still have problems with the car. There is a 90 day warranty, I barely drive the car and after about 100 miles or so the overheating thing begin again so obviously the radiator purchase was not the right answer. I have the radiator still with me and may go get it checked. So I brought it back beginning of September to say that its not working they said that it must be another issue and quoted me another $1800 to fix it with a water pump and Cooling fan now. I am not going to invest another $1800 when the first problem never got solved and its the same issue. This company has been overcharging me and coming up with more issues than I ever seen . My car was fine until the overheating started. This should be reported that someone is trying to charge over $3300 when they never fix the first issue on the report when I brought it in thats all I wanted fixed. I refuse to go back there and would never recommend this place I believe my money spent of over $1500 is due back to me because the issue was never taken care of. I do not want this place to work on my car anymore. This is my issue.

    The customer was informed that there were multiple fluid leaks on this vehicle. She was informed that the largest leak was the Radiator. The customer was also informed that whenever there is a coolant leak and the engine overheated, there is a chance that the Head Gasket or other engine damage *** have occurred. It was explained that the radiator would have to be replaced first before we could determine if there were any other issues related to the overheating. The customer was also informed that there was multiple other repairs necessary to make this vehicle dependable and safe. Our recommendation was to sell or trade the vehicle in for a newer one. The customer decided to go ahead with the radiator replacement. After 2 months the customer returned with the vehicle stating it was overheating. The vehicle was diagnosed AT NO CHRGE and it was determined that the Water Pump and Thermostat Seal were leaking causing the overheating condition. The customer declined services. See attachments for invoices. The customer was informed of the conditions and agreed to the repairs and the repairs we done. The customer received what they paid for at the agreed price.
