I have a fire Alarm system with this company. Today my system alarm started going off continuously with a trouble message. I called customer service and they said they would try and fix it remotely, but could not. They then said my only option was to pay $600 for them come out to the facility today or wait until Monday. I paid 12k for this system and now it is malfunctioning. It is absolute extortion to charge a customer $600 to come repair a system that is going off continuously, in a timely manner. This is a daycare facility with several children on the spectrum and this company is ok with leaving the alarm on for days or making their costumer pay $600. I also asked if we could trouble shoot the system over the phone to get it to at least go off temporarily, and they said no. I would like my system fix today for free as repairs to a system they put in should always be free and a childcare facility with an alarm going off should be treated as an emergency.

    Better Business Bureau:

The Business has addressed my concerns outside of addressing the BBB in reference to complaint ID ********. My issue is resolved and my complaint can be closed. The president of the company contacted me and my issue was resolved that day. Alarm was fixed and I was not charged.

I hired this company to install my fire alarm system at my daycare in Oct 2022. The permit to Install was approved Dec 15th 2022, but there was a delay in scheduling due to appointment availability with the company, that resulted in the initial installation being on January 16th 2023. During that installation was the first I heard they needed additional parts and that they would need to be ordered(They also didnt include those parts on my quote/invoice). As a result there was additional delays and they didnt come back out until March 6th 2023 to do more installation, but there is still a part missing. They had the fire department come out until March 16th, and I was cleared even those that part is missing. However, It took 5 months for them to do enough to passed inspection, I am trying to open a daycare and this company caused me to lose a lot of money, since I couldnt open until passing the inspection. They did wave the fees for the extra parts/labor that were not included in my quote/invoice, as they were on the permit but never told to me prior to date of install. So basically they had failed to tell me the total cost before I gave my deposit even though they were aware. This was their mistake because had I known the full total I may have shopped around more etc. That mistake was a separate issue and rectified. (Im including this because they are saying they already gave a discount but they simply waved fees due to a mistake on their part) Additionally thought I asked for a 20 percent discount off the balance left due to the ridiculous amount of time this took and the fact it still isnt done. The company has refused to give any discount regarding this and hasnt even acknowledged wrong doing. I ask for a 20 percent discount on my balance of $6768.80 for my trouble and the money I lost ally due to this company.

I was not aware of this customer's job or complaint until receiving this email. I will contact ***************** with Chicago Metro Fire, a company that we own but is operating independently from Fox Valley Fire & Safety. Once I meet with **************** will have a better understanding of the complaint and what can be done to resolve.

    Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because: I told my representative/salesperson from the company that I needed a discount considering the circumstances, he also spoke to his GM. I said repeatedly that if I needed to I would make a BBB complaint and they still didnt do anything. As of right now I have still not heard from anyone regarding the 20 percent discount.  I have requested this due to the extreme delays and the fact that the job is still incomplete.  If anyone would like to contact me for further questions they may do so via phone or email. I will consider this resolved when I have been granted the discount. Additionally while this is being figured out I should not occur any late fees.

    Sincerely,
