    Paid $8000 materials deposit for bathroom tub/shower in December 2022 per signed contract. **** ***** claimed to have ordered materials & ETA was 6-8 weeks. Contacted **** end of February 2023 & he claimed sickness of self & family & said he would check & be in touch. I reached out again mid March and **** said supplier running behind, no ETA at this time. Contacted **** again early April and he said he would check with supplier but then didn't get back in touch. I called the supplier, *********, myself and they informed me our order had never been placed. ********* sent me all of the communications between **** ***** and their store where he claimed we hadn't made up our minds if we were doing the job & hadn't paid deposit. I sent them copy of cashed canceled check to **** from December 2022. He refuses to communicate with us now. We did report to police but they didn't seem too interested in pursuing. They feel it's civil matter. We really would like some sort of resolution. Refund of deposit would be 1st choice. Would also settle for delivery of materials as we had hand picked them and can find another contractor. Last option would be for **** ***** to finish the job, although now there has been a breach of trust and he would only be allowed into our home under supervision.

    We hired ***** ****** ************ in April, 2022, to side our home, put on shutters, put on a new metal roof, and put gutter guard on our gutters. At the time of signing the contract, we paid a down payment of $10,000. Work began on 9/6/2022, at which time we paid another down payment of $10,000. Our contract specified that another down payment was due after the roof was completed, but on 9/30/2022, *** **** ***** asked for $12,000, explaining that he needed the money to purchase the roofing materials and that the price of materials had gone up. We did pay this request, thinking our roofing would be done by the end of October. It is 2/22/2023 and our roof is still not completed. The siding is done, with only 2 pieces above 2 windows left to do. No shutters have been installed. A 15 foot dumpster was put on our driveway the first part of November, 2022. It is still there, along with scaffolding, ladders, and piles of siding and trim materials. I have tried to call *** *****, but he does not answer his phone and the voicemail box is full. I have left him numerous messages. He has responded to some of the messages and said he was very sorry and he and his crew would be there the next day. No one came. I have asked him multiple times to finish by the end of a month (November, December, January, and February). Nothing has happened. I need help! I just want the $12,000 back we paid him for the roof so we can hire someone who will do it. I want the dumpster gone and all of his equipment removed. Can you help me get some accomplishment here?
