I contracted with Building Block Development to install pre-hung doors, and security doors. To date none of the security doors have been installed, and ********************* the business owner and operator has not completed the job. It is evident that *********************- Building Block Development is a shame company which does not have the expertise to manage a simple job such as installing doors.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/03/2024

On October 6, I entered into a contract with ********************* to install seven doors: one interior door, six pre-hung doors, one security door, and an interior door for the price of $2,000.00. I only installed six pre-hung doors and the security door.

The reason I didn't install the other three doors is that there were problems with the door size. He asked me to find security doors, which I did, but he refused to pay for the price of the security doors that would fit in the frame. That's where the issue arose, and he claims that I never installed the other doors, which is not true; he refused to pay for the doors.

We also entered into another contract in which he asked me to fix up one of his apartments that had been vacant for some time. We went in there and installed new subflooring, installed laminate flooring, and painted the two-bedroom apartment. For a total of $4,000 labor and materials, the total contract was supposed to be for $8,000.
Which, as you can see, he paid in installments.

I lost on this project; he won. I kept explaining to him to leave me alone because he won, but he kept persisting in bothering and harassing me after the fact, after he asked me to get out of his building, using several curse words. I did nothing wrong in the situation. I gave him quality work, but he refused to pay for the doors, and that's it. The price for the security doors that he refused to pay for was $608 to fit in the frame of the doors that he requested me to find for him.
