We bought a GE refrigerator from Grand Appliance on 10/9/23. It is still under the manufacturer's warranty and we also bought the 5 year extended warranty. The trouble started in late May when the freezer completely iced up and the temperature in the refrigerator was around 55 degrees making the freezer and refrigerator both non functional. I asked for a return/refund for the original amount paid, $2,001.24 intending to buy a different refrigerator from Grand. I was told we had to schedule a service call to determine the problem before any action could be taken. That was scheduled 2 weeks away. Parts were ordered and another service call scheduled another 2 weeks from that date. The parts were unable to be installed at this call and another date was schedule another 2 weeks from THIS date. We haven't had a refrigerator now for over 6 weeks. Once the third service appointment was completed we realized the problem remains and it isn't repaired. After another complaint I was told on July 5 Grand would contact me and I've yet to hear any news. I would like a full refund if possible.

I am rejecting this response because:

I do not want to schedule a pick up. I no longer have this refrigerator. I had to remove it from my kitchen because the leaking was damaging my hardwood floor. Please issue a refund.

    Sincerely,

I purchased a Maytag washer along with an 5 year extended warranty from grand appliance. I have had numerous issues with the washer - it doesnt work. It either doesnt start or starts and stops before washing. Purchase date was June 8, 2020. It takes weeks for repair people to come out to resolve. Right now Im waiting for whirlpool to send another repair person to validate the $800 estimate from initial repair person that was here this week. When I complained to Grand they have done nothing- they say I have to deal with the company holding the extended warranty centricity..which are not performing. The extended warranty was sold to me by Grand. Today is March 23 and they said the soonest someone can come out is April 3. Totally unreasonable- we have already been down without a washer for over a week. This is a significant disruption to our lives. This is the third time the washer is down in less than a years time. I dont think I was sold a quality product. Why does the consumer have to deal with this disruption! I would like a refund of the price of the washer and extended warranty of $861.35. I will buy a new one from a reputable retailer.

We are not able to refund you for a three-year-old washer that is scheduled for repair on April 3 under the terms of the extended warranty. We can provide a pro-rated refund you for the warranty, but that would void the repair scheduled on April 3.
