We originally had a concrete coating affixed to our front porch and steps in July of 2022. This procedure came with a lifetime warranty. In the fall of 2024, my wife and I noticed that there was some cracking in the coating in a few spots. After repeated attempts to contact the company to tell them of the issue, a company representative sent us an email saying that the issue was not covered by the warranty and it would cost us at least $250 to have it repaired. We found that was unacceptable. In February of 2025, were were finally able to get in touch with the general manager of the company and he agreed to make the repairs under the warranty. On May 27th, 2025 a repair crew came over and when they looked at the steps, they said the coating was originally applied incorrectly and they would have to strip the entire coating off the steps, make the necessary repairs, and then recoat. The incorrectly applied coating also created a big hole between the back of the concrete steps and the porch. When a different crew came back to reapply the coating, they said they could not correctly fix the issue that was created behind the steps and that we would be responsible to have that repaired. The hole behind the steps was created by the incorrectly applied coating. The hole was not there during the initial work in July of 2022 for if it was, they would not have done the work. We feel the issue was a direct result of them not properly performing the work the initial time and we should not be responsible for the repair. I have reached out to them repeatedly once again and left messages but they are back to not returning calls.

Hi Jeff, The concrete between the steps and the wall is crumbling, causing there to be a hole. The coating didn't cause the concrete to have a giant hole in the side of it. You can see there are chunks of concrete in the photos that have fallen down from where the hole is now. We have a liquid repair product we can not fill that hole.

Seeking a return for my refundable deposit of $296.88. Floor has structural issues and the coating is not adequate to remedy the problem. Effectively i was sold a product that is not suitable for the use case. Multiple calls have been made to initiate a refund. Reliably whomever answers the call needs authorization from a supervisor and promises a return call that is never made. Every listed phone number for this company is nonfunctional. Main 888 number is a disconnected ******* Wireless number. The other number leads to a full voicemail box. (Still had the sales guys number who was unsurprised about the companys behavior / reputation.)

On 3/23/24 I purchased poly pro evolution flake concrete coatings for $4600.00. The floors were installed in my basement family room and breezeway. The salesman was *** *******. I was told there would be a one- time transferrable warranty. On 4/17 the floors were installed. I had emptied the rooms as instructed. I was told by *** there would be minimal dust however that was not the case. The entire house was covered in extremely thick cement dust. All of the *************** now have thick cement dust in them & throughout the entire ventilation system; the workers did not use any type of coverings or tarps in addition they did not use any filtration system to vent the cement dust out. Prior to installation, I was directed upstairs so I did not see what was happening. After the job was completed, I called ******* the store manager because the carpet going down to the basement was covered in cement glue and color flakes & the furnace and vents were full of cement dust. ******* had the regional manager Wil contact me. I sent him the pictures of the dust damage both upstairs and down. He stated, "I can see there is excessive dust". He then offered $400 off. I accepted the $400 off but once I got estimates, I realized it was not even enough to compensate for the cleaning of the furnace/ducts. On 4/21/25, I called ******* again and she stated Wil the regional manager would return my call. To date, I have not been called back by both *** and Wil the regional manager. I have 2 estimates from restoration services because cleaning companies will not handle cement dust throughout an entire house. The estimates range from $20,625,75 to $31,975.69.We have spent countless hours cleaning the upper floor. My ********** have not been able to occupy the basement & are fearful for our health as cement dust is linked to cancer. I would like a resolution. Additionally, I received a packet in the mail stating the one-time warranty transfer I was promised is non-transferrable.

      Complaint: 23296182

I am rejecting this response because:

I was contacted by the Regional manager, Wil, and his boss, ******, regarding my complaint. I sent them 3  estimates for the cleaning of our furnace and filtration system which were all right around  $500. My 13 steps and landing carpet need to be replaced as concrete glue and paint chips are adhered to the carpet. My hand railing also has dried concrete that cant be scrubbed off. In addition, my family and I have spent countless hours cleaning the first floor and garage; as both covered in the cement dust. All pictures of the cement dust detailing the amount of dust covering every surface in our home were sent to them for evaluation. I also sent separate estimates from 2 restoration companies; the first estimate at ****** and the second ****** detailing what would be included.

They have chosen to reject my initial complaint resolution of $15,000. Their response was they can only reimburse me up to the amount I paid for the floor $4600. I can not accept this offer as my home has been destroyed by heavy cement dust. I also have asthma and this cement dust has caused many breathing problems for me. This cement dust is a known carcinogen and not an environment I or my kids and grandkids should be subjected to.

At this point, we wish we would never have had these floors put in our home.

      Sincerely,

      ******* ******* *******

That is our final offer. $21,000 and $30,000 for a cleaning service is unacceptable. That is called price gauging a customer. Our contract states there will be dust and to tarp areas off. We are griding cement. There will be dust. You already got $400 returned to you and we are willing to return the other $4,600 this is where we stand.

May ******* left deposit of $729.00 for garbage floor to be coated with ***. May 17th I had water damage to my garage. Reported damage to insurance company (**********) they told me it would be completed by Oct. 4 of same year.Thats when I scheduled with *** to do the job. Getting closer to that date my garage was not completed. I called *** to cancel and that I would call and reschedule when the garage was finished. On Dec. 29th as they were tearing down the drywall they found termites and black mold. I was informed it (the garage) was a total tear down.I informed *** of the situation and planned on rescheduling for spring of 2022.May of 2022 the city inspector came and would not sign off on the project because the foundation wasnt within the city of Chicago building code.I informed *** of the situation. The foundation was totally replaced which fixed my problem of garage floor sweating which is why I called *** in the first place.I called to request a refund and got the ************ garage finally passed inspection on November 2024. Ive been going back and forth with *** about getting a refund and they were adamant about not giving me my money back.I was told they would honor my deposit with another project I might have. When talking to a *** representative yesterday, he told me they have a minimum order of $3,00.00 on all jobs they do.Meaning I couldnt just do a project within my $729.00 they refused to give back to **** dont need this product anymore. I cant afford this kind of money for something I dont need. I know I have a contract with them and I was sincere with pursuing this. But because of the circumstances, this should be taken under consideration of Special Circumstances. All of our deposits are non-refundable beyond the federal 3-day right of recission and that is expressly stated on every single contract.  Unfortunately you have had issues with your concrete/foundation of which we have been very patient and willing to work with you on.  Our minimum price is actually $3250 in 2025, but I will honor our previous minimum which was $2500 back in 2021.  The contract you original signed up for was $2430. If you are ready to move forward with the project we will keep with prices from nearly 5 years ago and do it for $2430 provided its still the same sq ft and size.  Let me know what you would like to do.

Hi  ****** , This is unfortunate that all this happened to your garage and you. But it isn't anything we did wrong.  You are asking for a deposit back that per our contract that you have 3 days to cancel for a full refund. Other wise you lose your deposit or need it to go on a different product. This is a common thing with any company you put a deposit down for. we aren't talking days or weeks we are talking years and your asking for your deposit back.

I am rejecting this response because: I realize none of this is the cause of anything you did. Its also not anything l could control. In the situation I am in now is because of all the circumstances that ensued after I contracted your company. Therefore, as the project of my garage took so long and things kept changing such as permit's,the foundation having to completely torn out and replaced and costing me more money.
Im pleading for your understanding, this money means more to me. Where as none of this is you being out materials, labor or any money.
Through the process I always let TSR what was happening and keeping updated at all changes.
I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and a widow.
I have all the documents and pictures to confirm everything I have stated to prove to you Im not trying to mislead you in any way. My initial intent was sincere, however because of all that happened Im just not in the position of needing or can afford this. Im willing to meet with you and discuss this further.
please consider what I am asking and the special circumstances that have occurred.
Please consider my situation. Thank you.

*** did a lifetime coating on my garage floor approx 5 years ago. After one season (winter) I noticed white spots coming thru the floor. I called *** and told them. They said to send pictures to them rather then them coming to inspect it. I complied and sent pictures. No response. Then I contacted again after a couple of months and no one knew where the pictures went and asked me again to send them. I complied AGAIN! I called and said did you get them. Oh we dont now well check with our service **** and let you knoiw. nothing...again. I have called repeatedly with no results. They then started advertising on instagram and I let the world know in comments that they did nothing. They finally sent an email what did they want? you guessed it more pictures. Its now been over 4 years and I still have a defective floor. I want it replaced or my money back at this point. Also I have spoke to ****** and emailed ****** in the serv **** and nothing. No one there seems to know anything. Perhaps I should respond to their TV commercials next. These people should be broke but their too busy taking peoples money. I ***** checked with other companies that do this and they have repeatedly told me that this is improper sealing of the cement prior to application. and its salt coming thru

I had TSR Concrete Coatings come in as the final sub contractor to a brand new construction home to coat my garage floors. They damaged the trim and walls of a brand new, never lived in house during the coating process.Nothing was masked off during installation and baseboards and walls have concrete coating splattered all over them. I was able to reach out to the company following installation to re-paint damaged baseboards and walls. Was told by ******** and area Sales Manager to get a quote and damages would be repaired. Promised multiple times that this was not how business is conducted and well take care of it. Ive submitted all photographs requested and a quote for repairs by the original painting contractor ans we walked the project together. I have made several follow up calls just seeking repairs. Was told my quote that I submitted was outrageous for painting a few boards and shared, I dont mind who repairs the damages. I requested they find a contractor to preform the work and have since had no response.I found no other option as communications have failed, all Im seeking is repaired work. This company is unfortunately very dishonest in the fact that promises made have not been kept. Any help in rectifying my damaged garages is greatly appreciated. Respectfully,*****. P.S,Unfortunately Im unable to upload all the photos I have of the damage, picture uploaded shows no protections in place on a brand new home.

      Hi *****,

Thanks for reaching out. Per your contract all baseboards are recommended to be removed as well as anything you want masked or plastic off is up to the homeowner.  It states this in all of our contracts to all of our customers. We do not have to pay or refund the money amount that you are asking for. It does look like we did offer to send someone out to clean the walls and touch up the areas where there are issues. That was denied by you. It isn't that we aren't willing to so anything but we did offer a remedy and it was denied by you.

On January 7th I signed a contract with **** for *** to come and coat my garage floor. I set the date for May 20th, which is 9 weeks from when I cancelled the contract (yesterday), I was told by three different people that my contract states I would not be refunded any monies I paid. I knew there was a penalty, but did not think to look into it further since I could not imagine I would need to cancel, but had too out of necessity. Yesterday when I spoke to these employees, the attitude was "too bad, tough luck, YOU signed it". I am filing this complaint for two reasons. I called 4 other concrete coating businesses this morning. NONE of them has ever heard of a 'no refund' policy since the materials have not been ordered yet. the consensus what the agreement was extremely unreasonable. Materials are ordered 6 to 8 weeks ahead (their words, not mine). No cost has been incurred by ***, so why not prevent a disgruntled customer and refund the money? Is that not good business??? The second reason is because none of the other cement coating companies I spoke to 'punish' their customers with such a harsh agreement (a TOTAL non refund!). Is this legal? Yes, it is in black and white in a contract. Is it ethical? Is it moral? Is it the right thing to do to people, who could refer them to others? Does word of mouth not count anymore? *** will not last if this is how they handle a customer. Taking advantage of people to make the worshipped almighty dollar, and a senior at that. Not wise.

      Hi ********,

Like you clearly stated in our contracts it states that if you cancel after 3 days the down payment is not Refundable. We have the signed contract on file.

A lot goes into the job right after the contract is signed and we schedule the job. Materials are ordered, the date has been taken where someone else could've had that date. We lose money when this happens. Coming to the BBB for a complaint that we have a signed contract stating all of this would happen if canceled after 3 days surprises us.

I am rejecting this response: I filed a complaint with the BBB because of the research I did following the cancelling of the service, and being told "You signed a contract, it is in black and white and you should have seen it."  You are correct TSR, and like I have said with my reviews on **** and ******* BUYER BEWARE!   I will not accept a 'no refund' policy from your company after calling 5 cement coating companies in the greater ********* area and documenting their policy for cancellation.  If needed, I can provide the name, phone number and contact person of each of these companies to verify I spoke to them.  After explaining to each of them regarding ***'s contract and they way I was treated, they were shocked to say the least, and the consensus was I was robbed!  The response from *** here is that they buy product right away and also that the time scheduled cannot easily be filled.  I find this very hard to believe.  I met the sales person in early January and set the date for the third week in May.  I cancelled 9 weeks before the scheduled date.  I was told by the companies I called that they do not order material until 6 weeks prior, with one company saying 6 to 8 weeks prior.  I do not believe for one second that *** had already ordered the materials, and also if they are so great at their service, 9 weeks before hand is plenty of time to fill that day with another customer!   The name "**********************" should stand for just that.   BETTER BUSINESS.  This experience has not been BETTER BUSINESS practices.  This is an all out scam, crime or whatever you want to call it.  Dishonest, immoral, yes.  Legal, of course, but not BETTER BUSINESS in any shape or form.  I have worked in the  business world my whole life, and should have trusted my instincts.  Very unfortunate.  As a 'full of regret' customer, I should have never let the salesperson in my home.  ******** *****

We are sorry you feel this way and continue to hit us with defamation of character. It was in your contract that you signed. There is no black and white. it just states it. We did nothing wrong as a company. We followed by the law and the rules. If rules were meant to be broken we would not have any laws or rules.

      Have a great day!

I am rejecting this response because:  Hi there, what a sweet and quick response, wishing me a "good day"!    I question your integrity as a company, yes, definitely.  A contract (or 'rules' as you say) sometimes needs to be updated, revised or changed due to the fact that sometimes a company (in your case) or a government, or even an individual will look at how they conducted themselves and will acknowledge their practices are not measuring up to good moral character.  I don't care what your response is to defend the way you run your business.  There is NO moral standing here, and your business ethics are weak at best.  After speaking to the 5 different concrete coating companies, *** is WRONG in keeping my downpayment and it was RIGHT for me to report you to the Better Business Bureau.  "Better Business" is not how you run your company, and how you continue to justify it because it's in black and white is a flimsy excuse for running a business this way.  How you have gotten away with it this long astounds me, and here I am, one person, telling you that moral standing counts for everything!  Rating you on BBB, ****** and Yelp was the right thing to do (to warn anyone who looks these up).  Everything I said in the comments for the ratings was also true, just like your response stating your contract was "in black and white" and was right there for me to read.  I will not accept any of your responses unless it is a right one, and that is a FULL refund.   I will continue to warn anyone and everyone who reads my reviews and also anyone I have a conversation with who wants their garage floor refinished.  BUYER BEWARE.   By all means, please...

      Have a great day!

      Sincerely,

      ******** *****

This company had failed to comply with city permit standards. They filled-out the permit wrong, putting the fence in the wrong location. Instead of wanting to rectify the situation, they want to take the fense back without giving me my down payment back. Can you set the manager over to my house to inspect a fence which just led in arguments because he was trying to blame it on me. I have nothing to do with them fileing the permit wrong. They also falsified a Return payment, which I have on file. I guess they thought that I wouldn't check my bank out. They just thought they could trick me into taking the fense away.

*******, I have visited this job site myself and met with you.  The fence has been taken down and a refund has been issued.  Can you acknowledge to the BBB that this has been satisfactorily resolved?
