*** gave $1600 estimates to have drywall crack repaired textured matched and room painted. We purchased $300 of paint for the job. They worked 3/8 & 3/9/2023 for about 13 hours total which included there smoking/meal breaks which included on day one going to the ************** bar for lunch. *** asked for $800 stated he gets half down payment in a message after day 1. On day 2 Thursday arrival Thursday 9am he asked for $1300 which we gave him a check for. After they rushed out for the day at 2:30 to go plow snow we noticed the paint on the trim and the wall with the crack was painted but not textured, and drywall repair in bathroom was not textured and there was also paint splattered on floor furniture and 2 light fixtures while cleaning up after them. *** stated he would finish painting the one wall that hadnt been painted yet Friday or Saturday depending on if his snow plowing was done. At this point the untextured wall would have to be redone and paint on trim and dried paint lines would never be like new again. On Monday the 13th *** messaged me he would be coming back to complete the job. We replied what we saw and our displeasure with the work that was completed and did not want to pay *** for any additional work. *** asked for pictures and we did send them to him. In a message *** stated he did not review his helpers work and he had a hard time seeing the paint on the ceiling and apologized for it he paint on the trim. We asked for a $500 refund and he did not respond back. Im disabled and unable to work feel like Ive been taken advantage of and dont have the money to have another drywaller fix the drywall. We are paying a painter to repaint the ceiling and the wall that was not painted.
