On 4/30/24 I entered an agreement with StringWorks to sell a cello, bow, and case on consignment. The agreement is attached. It was to be sold for $2395. Please note item #2, where it lists repairs that are needed. I was never informed, nor is it stated on the contract, that these repairs were my responsibility. Also, attached is StringWorks response to a complaint I sent to the Attorney General. They state that it was my misunderstanding or I forgot that I was responsible for it. I also NEVER stated that I could have the repairs done for $150. This is a complete falsehood and I have no idea what these would cost, so would not have come up with that number. I also disagree with their statement that I was responsible for renewing the contract, since it says that the consignee (them) shall enter into a new agreement. PLEASE NOTE: I thought I would be receiving $1800 from this sale, not $1400. I would have tried to sell it myself first before doing this. I decided with part of the $1400 to buy myself a *****. I was charged $900 for this and then given a check for $500. When I got home I realized I never received a receipt for the *****. The receipt (attached) is for $872, not $900. This is what they do? Round up a sale and hope you dont ask for a receipt? Please note item on the attachment that **** ****** wrote he says they gave me a check for $1400. Doesnt even realize it was only $500! Sloppy business practices on their part. I maintain that they owe me $28 for rounding up the cost of my ***** and $400 for the cost of the repairs that I had no idea I had to pay, and is not detailed in the contract.
