      My dermatologist referred me to **************** at Advanced Dermatology for an excision procedure to remove melanoma from my left leg. The procedure was a success on June 14, 2023.However, there was never any follow-up to me, the patient, after the procedure. I arrived home after the excision appointment to find blood streaming down my leg. A call to **************** at that point was never returned. I complained to Advanced Dermatology. No response. On June 28, 2023, the young nurse had trouble removing the sutures from the surgery. The wound continued to bleed after this appointment. I complained again to Advanced Dermatology. No response. On August 14, 2023, **************** removed further debris from the wound. There was no fee charged. On October 30, 2023, **************** again removed further debris from the wound that would not heal properly. However a fee was charged to me and insurance was billed for the exact same procedure for the same wound issues as before. There should not have been any fees charged for this continued post-op care of a botched suture removal at Advanced Dermatology. Why was a claim submitted by Advanced Dermatology for October 30 and not for August 14 for the exact same appointment? I have complained to insurance. On December 2, 2023, my new dermatologist at a different facility removed more debris from the same wound. My post-care issues preventing proper healing may have been resolved, but it is still pending.
